19.01.2022 An update from Wholehearted Village: Our pilot program began at the beginning of February in Karrinyup. We enjoyed a wonderful 8 weeks with 25 families, there were many lessons learned and the model continued to evolve and grow throughout the process. We were unfortunately cut short due to COVID, and paused the program two weeks before the end of the season. The extended time away helped us to reflect on the program, and after a lot of discussions, we have decided to continu...e to pause the program for now, even with restrictions easing. As an organisation, we have decided to change our current focus, and instead of running our own program, we would like to put our energy into growing the natural child-led approach to homeschooling in Perth, by raising funds to support others who are creating classes, programs, workshops, and other ideas that are aligned with the Conscious Education Movement. Along with supporting those in our homeschooling community, our biggest dream is to raise enough funds to purchase a space (or spaces!) that is ours to use to come together as a village. The hardest part with running the program 3 days a week was definitely not having a location that was truly ours, that the children can come together and build together. We know the best is yet to come. We thank you so much for supporting Wholehearted Village. Together we can dare to dream big!
