23.01.2022 Sundried tomato and basil pesto pasta with a side of kale chips for an easy quick dinner tonight. Pesto takes literally 5 minutes to make, you can load it with heaps of raw greens (I use herbs and kale to add a real nutrient dense punch!!) And kale chips are a very yummy way to get these amazing greens in. Kale is such a nutrient dense food - high in vitamins and minerals, including being a great source of Vitamin A and C!! It is also loaded with Antioxidants. It is in season at the moment and my garden is going crazy with it! To make kale chips just rub kale with stems removed in your fave oil and sprinkle some good himalayan/sea salt over and place in oven on 170/180 for 10 mins or until just crispy. Enjoy



21.01.2022 For everyone baking crumpets and a little unsure about the fermenting and separation - I mixed this up just under 24 hours ago, with this warmer weather you should be finding your batters to be ready in a much shorter time. Once seperated, be sure to get them baked before too long as it will over-do and produce flat, doughy crumpets. If you don't have time right then and there, put it in the fridge and bake within next, no more than 24 hours, bringing it out of the fridge to come to room temperature first. Happy Crumpet making!

16.01.2022 Mornings in our house get a little crazy on the days I work. I am a stickler though for nourishing my family no matter what! So I mixed up a buckwheat pancake batter to ferment this morning and am cooking them up tonight ready for the morning. Such an easy recipe - I replaced the buttermilk with almond milk and used egg replacemer. Throw on some coconut yoghurt and berries in the morning and perfection! 09.01.2022 Cauliflowers are in season and I have heaps all ready at once in the garden! Cauliflowers have a big variety of vitamins and nutrients, are particularly high in Vit C, antioxidants and Choline - a nutrient many are deficient in which is important for cell growth and strength and brain development. Brocolli is also high in Choline and Vit C so tonights dinner of lightly steamed cauli, topped with vegi sauce and nutritional yeast (good for b vitamins) and a side of brocolli, ...has us very satisfied and well nourished! Every meal is another opportunity to love and nourish your body and family

04.01.2022 Baking with my biggest. These biccys are super yum (9 and 3 year old tick of approval!!) Super healthy, no sugar and a good hit of protein. I swapped out the vanilla protein for lupin flour (1tbsp) and used chopped up dried apricots instead of sultanas. 03.01.2022 Keeping the variety and nutrition up to the family. Pre made chia puddings to make smoothie bowls for the next few days brekky. One with banana and berries and the other, coconut cream. Enhanced with a complete protein powder, acai powder and diatomaceous earth (cos trying to get kids to take DE in a glass of water is not gonna happen!!) Diatomaceous Earth is so great for gut health and healing. Also a natural way to get rid of parasites . Full of minerals to nourish and assists with detoxing in a gentle way.
