10.01.2022 Sometimes I forget how hard this medical life can be. I have to admit we don’t often get discriminated against, but when we do, it hits me hard. Today I spent the day dealing with Lewis’s school camp. It’s day one of camp. The school had planned every inch of this experience. One of the camp instructors decided he was an expert in epilepsy and refused one of the activities for Lewis even though they had his full medical history and his support worker with him. He also has controlled a seizures so no issues there. I had to pull his paediatrician in and interrupt her day as well to get it sorted. I don’t think I’m every going to live in a world where this type of ignorant thinking disappears, but I will do my best to change what I can while I’m here.
