23.01.2022 *ART DECO PERFECTION* Dave has been working on these beautiful Deco Arm Chairs for months...part time... They are collector pieces... And the owner wanted them ...restored to original...or as original as you can get a restoration like this.... From around late 1920s to mid 30s they would be a one of, or close to... The fabric is from USA and new but Deco in design... Both the seat and front and back cushions are sprung... Don't even ask how hard that was... LOL... All cushions had no zippers originally so had to be hand sewn... Same with corners, back and other parts...studs had to be hand painted.. Dave did the upholstery part but not the wood which was restored to original by an expert...it will be waxed by owner including wood studs and legs...that have not been done as yet... The back panel of fabric is wool and owner wanted it done like that... No!! ... Gimp was not used LOL It's a bit of a credit to Dave that he can still do this kind of thing well... We just hope the owner will love them... Photos don't do justice to these amazing chairs... See more
17.01.2022 *Antique Pub Chairs* Let me start by saying...NO Dave DID NOT! cover these Wingback Lounge Chairs... They come from an old Australian Pub...The Robinson's Crown... Hotel Grafton.. The owner Enid Robinson inherited them... Beautiful old hand carved chairs... No offence though... not well upholstered last time! Dave would be itching to get his hands on them,... Enid was kind enough to send us these photos... It's a old piece of "Clarence Valley" history and chair history too Unsure of the date or maker but these chairs have great bones, history and a Providence... A lesson in chairs past and why we should recycle instead of buy new... See more

02.01.2022 *MATTRESS TICKING* Before and after shots of a cute little chair Dave just did.. Our friend and neighbour Glenice Barnfield bought this about 25 years ago at St... Vinnie's op shop for $2.00... She did the wood herself and picked out neutral mattress ticking fabric to cover... Nothing nicer than 100 percent cotton ticking to work with we think... Looks great... Recycling at its best... IKEA eat your heart out... Oops!! did I say that? See more
