09.01.2022 Budget Changes for Business Owners - The government will maintain the $20,000 accelerated depreciation for another financial year until 30 June 2018. Business with a turnover of less than $10 million will be able to claim any asset under $20,000 as an immediate deduction rather than the usual depreciation formulas. - There will be changes to small business CGT concessions as the government will look to reduce unrelated assets to the business being claimed under these concessions. Government have yet to release further details on this.

07.01.2022 Ive met many people who have drained their super to pay for medical expenses and end up with nothing to retire on. It is a sad place to be in after a lifetime of working hard. The Age Pension pays a pittance, and you can be left depending on your children or family to get by. With our longer life spans, this dependency can limit the wealth building activities of the next generation and be a continuous problem for your descendants. This highlights the importance of getting... personal insurance cover. Australians are famous for their "shell be right attitude" and infamous for their lack on insurance coverage compared to our worldwide peers. We tend to insure our cars but wont bother to insure ourselves or our ability to earn an income. Personal insurance is in place to protect us but more importantly to protect our family and loved ones from unforeseen financial burdens. With a bit planning and foresight you can set up your insurances without busting your budget.
