15.01.2022 On 31 May, the Australian Road Safety Foundation’s 2019 Fatality Free Friday aims for not a single road death in Australia on this day to raise awareness about driving safety. Did you know that the majority of work fatalities involve vehicles? This yearly day of action serves as a healthy reminder to be safe and aware when driving a vehicle for work.... Research on Queensland road safety behaviour shows that: 75 per cent of the state’s road users admit to speeding, driving without a seatbelt or driving distracted when driving by themselves the highest in the country behind Victoria (70%). 1 in 5 Queensland drivers admit tospeeding on a regular basis (at least one to two times a week), while 14 per cent admit tospeeding at least once a month. 1 in 5 drivers admit to touching or looking at their mobile phoneswhile driving at least once a week. 48 per cent admit to driving while fatigued. 08.01.2022 In two minds about this. Yes I see what the truck driver was trying to achieve I have cows too and we are feeding daily. Ultimately the driver is responsible for his own load. If they are not as tightly packed than normal and can move whilst in transit this is a potential situation waiting to happen. If they moved more to an extent they could fall off the truck and onto a vehicle and kill somebody than this fine is a small price to pay to stop that from happening ... conside...ring the potential outcome. That gap potentially have grown bigger and bigger until it wasn't secure anymore. I think I'm on the coppers side. We need to be vigilant and take responsibility. If the copper let him go and it fell off, the trucker could say well the copper saw it and did nothing, why is it my fault. My opinion only for what it's worth. Please make sure you understand your obligations under the National Heavy Vehicle Regulations (NHVR)! Don't get caught. Through the NHVR 'Chain of Custody the driver is responsible to oversee loading, how the load is secured and while the load is in transit, until it is unloaded off the truck. https://au.news.yahoo.com/outrage-reason-truckie-transporti
