06.01.2022 ***UPDATE***: We understand there are several questions that you may have right now. Please read the dot points below that outline what has been announced today.... As soon as the new direction is finalised, updates will be provided. Until such time, we can only provide the information already included in this post. We thank you for your patience. We are working hard to get this information to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your questions and your patience in relation to the current COVID-19 Stay at Home Direction. This sudden change in Direction is based upon new information that we have received in relation to the Parafield Cluster. We understand this may cause some confusion and we'll endeavour to provide you with information as it becomes available. Our actions have been based upon health advice to ensure the safety of the South Australian community and we thank the public for their support and patience during this period. Here is what we can tell you: As of 12pm today, Friday 20 November 2020 exercise outside of your home with members of your household is permitted. Masks are not mandatory but are encouraged. Schools will re-open on Monday 23 November 2020. We will continue to review all Directions with the aim to open the borders to VIC on 1 December as originally planned and further open our state by reducing restrictions. As of 12:01am on Sunday 22 November (Midnight Saturday) we will revert back to similar restrictions that were in place on Monday 16 November 2020. This includes: 1 person per 4 square metres will apply. No dancing or vertical consumption. Updated gathering provision numbers being: Onsite purchase and consumption of food and beverages- 100 people maximum and no more than 10 people at each table. Funerals- 50 people maximum Weddings- 150 people maximum and registration of all guests with SA Health Religious ceremonies (not including a wedding or funeral)- 100 people maximum Private gatherings- 50 people maximum Private residence- 10 people per house (unless more than 10 people permanently reside at the residence) All food and beverages will need to be consumed while seated. Personal care workers will need to wear masks. Gyms are permitted to reopen. We appreciate that there is a lot to understand as things are changing. Please stay connected to this page and the www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/ website as we work on the new Direction and update all information as quickly as possible.
05.01.2022 From midnight tonight, South Australians will pause and create a 6 day circuit breaker that will enable us to get ahead of the Parafield Cluster. This means al...l non-essential workers must stay home and only leave for groceries and medical supplies. Our decision to go hard and go early is based on the advice of our world class health team. I know the restrictions we have put in place will be challenging for many South Australians, but the alternative is the virus escapes into the wider community forcing an even longer lockdown. I urge people to be kind and respectful to one another during this time. Click through the images to see what's open and what's closed. Thank you for working together with us - we WILL get through this.
02.01.2022 From midnight tonight, there will be immediate restrictions implemented to limit the transmission of COVID-19 in SA. Keep up to date by following SA Health Stay safe!
