20.01.2022 WMAI Media Release The Whyalla Musician’s Association wishes to advise that Paul Travers and Brian Krawczyk will not be standing for re-election at the upcoming Annual General Meeting in their current roles of Chairman and Secretary, respectively. Both founding members of the committee, the announcement comes after a combined 20 years of contribution towards the committee including the hugely popular 2011 Whyalla Musicians Reunion and the revival of club sessions. ... Despite not standing for re-election, both Paul and Brian will continue to support the committee in a lesser demanding role, making way for fresh energy, direction and leadership. The music hall now fully equipped with state of the art music equipment, is now fully functional and ready to utilise by all up and coming Whyalla Musicians. The Whyalla Musicians Association wishes to thank both Paul and Brian for their contribution and efforts over the past 10 years. An AGM date will be confirmed in due course.

If you are an interested Youth Performer come along to the hall on Monday night for more information. If you are interested in being a mentor (you don’t have to be a musician) please you are most welcome. Please call our secretary Brian on 0418814508 or email [email protected]
18.01.2022 We regret to advise that due to the current uncertainties around the Covid-19 (Corona Virus) Pandemic, that we are closing our hall until further notice. This will address concerns about social distancing, mic and equipment sharing and as our part to Flattening the Curve. This decision has a major impact on the planning and preparation effort our New and Emerging youth talent have been under taking for their April 25 Youth Week Concert. ... In regards to the future of the Youth Week concert, we have two options:- 1) In the event Youth Week is postponed, we will work towards a Youth Week concert on the new date. 2) In the event Youth Week is cancelled altogether we will work on a Youth Music Show Case event under our own banner. We will update our page as more information become available.
