19.01.2022 DON’T EVER GIVE UP IN BUSINESS!!! Prior to the COVID-19 lock down, I attended a great networking event and left elated as I like to hear people's stories of success (and failure) but at the same time, I was saddened. Saddened, as many there were would-be entrepreneurs who had tried many things but didn’t know the right next steps to make their dream a reality.... So in the interests of good karma i.e. you have to give to get, I thought I would share a few things that I have picked up along the way, which may help budding and existing businesses succeed when everyone else has given up on them. The most important one being - just because others don't believe, doesn't mean you shouldn't! What do I mean by that? Being an entrepreneur is 20% product or service and 80% passion. It takes guts, resilience, courage and sometimes a leap of faith. Being an entrepreneur can be exhilarating, and it can be lonely! If you believe in what you are doing, selling, offering, then your 'job' is to demonstrate that to others; to get them as excited as you are about your business. For every budding entrepreneur (in fact for every business), the right next step is to understand what your customers want (need) and how your business offering helps them. Then, communicate this to everyone! NOW is the time to be communicating your value. To be engaging with customers and potential customers. The world is changing, but it is not ending... There’s more to come so stay tuned.

18.01.2022 Every business uses some form of digital technology. As we embark on a new world of work, the value of technology is increasing; providing opportunities to respond more effectively. Digital is woven into every facet of business operations. From your web and landing pages, social media, accounting software, point of sales systems, and email, to your phones, desktop or mobile applications, payment gateways, customer databases (CRMs), data collection, inventory, and data stora...ge (the Cloud)! How a business selects, adopts and trains the people and to use new technologies is often costly, disruptive and challenging. Its no longer as simple as programming a new phone or turning on the machine. The adoption of new software, a digital upgrade, or the development of a new digitally supported business process requires planning; and lots of it. Here are three simple tips to help with your next upgrade.. https://whysepartners.com/digital-and-ai-performance/

18.01.2022 THE FIRST STAGE IN GETTING MORE SALES Here is the start of some insights as to why most businesses cant grow their sales? Your potential customers:... 1 dont know you; or 2 if they do know you they dont know what you do; or 3 if they do know you and what you do why should they change from their current provider? To get around this problem, firstly work out what differentiates you from your competitors. No difference means potential customers buy on price. Secondly, define who you want to sell to. The more defined your target market the better, but too small a market and you wont have any customers. Thirdly, take to your target market, the message of what you want to be known for and how that helps each and every potential customer. More to come so stay tuned.

11.01.2022 Businesses that can grow and adapt quickly will invariably come out on top. However with so many moving parts, theres a lot for anyone in a business to wrap their head around. How do I manage and plan the improvement in productivity and profitability? What are the best ways to finance growth Do I have the right people on board?... Am I selling the right things? How do I achieve my business objectives without having to work in the business? To prevent overwhelm, business owners seek clarity about what they are doing, why and how they achieve their goals in order to plan their next steps, often with a business plan. While a business plan is great for explaining to a bank why you want funds and how you intend paying them back, a different strategy and approach is needed to improve effectiveness and grow the business. To future proof your business consider developing a Business Road Map. A Business Road Map highlights your companys major objectives, defines any deficiencies and outlines the strategies to achieve your business goals. At WHYse Partners, we used our Launchpad System to create our roadmap and help other businesses to dive deep into how they operate. Launchpad provides a Road Map and pathway forward by focusing on a number of often overlooked cornerstones relevant to business success using a simple three-staged framework: 1. Launchpad Ignition. Starts the process of moving a start-up or small business forward to growth and profitably. 2. Launchpad Advantage. Takes a business with flat or declining revenue progressively to growth, profitability and sustainability. 3. Launchpad Executive. Enables larger businesses and their managers to embrace new thinking, new goals and new actions in driving profitability and future proofing of growth. Launchpad provides clarity on where a business is now, along with a road map to where it can be. Now is the time to consider how your business can make an impact, consider new opportunities or markets and to make a plan for your business. To learn more about Launchpad go to https://whysepartners.com/launchpad-systems/ or call us (07) 3264 3889 to arrange a chat.

09.01.2022 When you operate your business, it makes sense to prepare it to be ready for any occurrence... Setting your business up to be able to adapt and pivot is more important that ever, with the current COVID-19 pandemic changing how we do business, connect with our clients and do our work. Whether you started your business to create a legacy or an asset you can sell in the future being prepared requires planning.... As we enter an unprecedented period in Australian history, now is the time to look at your business to see how you will weather the changes to come. What resources (equipment, staff) do you need to run your business? will changes to the way we need to work impact your business? is your business prepared to pivot? Is your business structured to work from home? If not, what do you need to make it so? what support might you need - .e.g technology, resources? do you have the knowledge in your organisation to support this change or do you need help? How responsive and loyal is your customer database? do you have your customers' details? how will you communicate any change in work practices to them? Whatever your circumstances, discussing the options with an independent business advisor can help you gain clarity and direction regarding what to do next and HOW to do it.

03.01.2022 For a business to be a success you need to stand out from the crowd, in other words Be a Zebra among the Horses. If you follow Seth Goden, he describes it as being a purple cow! The key to creating a pipeline of customers and raving fans, who love what you do, it to stand head and shoulders above the pack, to be a Zebra among the Horses.... This requires you to understand Who your customers are; What they want and HOW your product or services will provide it. Once you know this, find where they hang out, connect with them there and then provide value. Standing out is about creating value and a connection with your customers.
