22.01.2022 Congratulations to one of our newest AFF instructors Kristina Hicks. Many women have reported back to the WIAS program that their early success could be partly attributed to their female instructor during their AFF. Male and female relationships are important to the sports development and we are always excited to see new women stepping up to this role. Dennis Sattler #Repost @s_qld_parachuting

13.01.2022 Congratulations to Emily Brougham for receiving the Lisa Perdichizzi Scholarship. Emily will use the scholarship to complete a Graduate Certificate in Educational Neuroscience at CQ University. Emily started flying jumpers about 6 years ago then joined us in jumping out of them a couple of years later. Her aim is to better understand educational neuroscience, so she can help people in our sport enhance their learning experiences and provide individuals with an optimal learni...ng environment. Emily aims to help women overcome mental barriers and build self-confidence in their skydiving journey. This knowledge will also be a beneficial tool for current or future instructors to improve their own teaching skills. We are so excited to see where the scholarship takes you Emily!

01.01.2022 Congratulations also to Ben Cove. It is with pleasure we announce that the Perdichizzi family will be funding Ben’s research project due to the unique opportunity presented. The funding will be used towards developing and publishing an evidence-based survey report on factors affecting women in skydiving; in particular the barriers to entry, progression and ultimately understand why they choose to exit the sport.... This study will provide an evidence-based process for the APF, drop zones and coaches in developing future women's specific programs. These findings would then also potentially be published in an international publication and establish Australia as a world leader in this area. Exciting times for women in our sport. Thanks Ben!
