24.01.2022 WIDAC Annual Christmas Celebration - Digital Many of us will reflect on the year of 2020 in years to come as the one where EVERYTHING happened. We at WIDAC are amazed at how our community took this year as not a set back but as an opportunity for more! So we believe it is time to CELEBRATE! To encourage each other, to honour the working mothers who instantly doubled as full time teachers, to empower parents who despite the times took bold steps in their careers, to celebrate... the small victories in families and home life, to those who took a huge leap and started their own business, to laugh with those who had zoom fails and to applaud those who used this time as an opportunity to grow. So get a glass of wine, a little bit of Christmas spirit and bring your squad together to celebrate! Our beautiful WIDAC Melbourne committee will kick of the event with the silver linings they found in 2020 and then we look forward to hearing from you and what small or big victories you had this year. If you are able to get a group of people from your office or community together then go for it and all join in together! (Please make sure if you do gather it is in accordance with the current regulations.) Thank you to each and every one of you for being so much of the reason that WIDAC was able to not only survive but thrive this year. If 2020 taught us one thing, it was that our community is full of inspirational and resilient individuals, and that the support of a community is a truly invaluable gift. We can’t wait to celebrate with you! X https://widac.glueup.com/event/29263/register/

15.01.2022 Mum, mummy, ma The word hasn’t yet been spoken by the small human who makes the role real, but you are soaking up the joy of its meaning. Time is so precious during the early stages of motherhood, and the nap, burp, feed, repeat routine is certainly different to the routine of working full-time. No matter where you’re at in those first days, weeks and months, becoming a mum comes with both expected and unexpected changes. ... Our Mother’s Care Packages offer practical assistance to new mums seeking support and guidance in motherhood, parenting and transitioning back into the workforce. It’s the little things that make a difference during this time help with cleaning, fresh food delivery, labels for kids’ lunchboxes, and pamper at home goodies. These packages assist new mums to overcome the balancing act of less time and a longer to-do list. Our Mother's Care Packages are open to WIDAC members. Members are able to nominate themselves for the package and/or apply for the package on behalf of another WIDAC member. https://widac.com.au/programs-initiat/mothers-care-packages
