22.01.2022 Just to let everyone know , we are still open normal hours as we have not been affected by the Coronavirus. We understand people are becoming weary of socialising and eating out but we want to let people know that we are taking this very seriously. The health and safety of our staff & our customers is very important to us. We are ensuring our cleaning standards are at the highest possible level, as always- including disinfecting menus after every customer, disinfecting any ...point of contact and cleaning regularly throughout the day on top of our normal cleaning schedule. We want our customers to feel safe and comfortable to come to Widgie so we hope this is reassurance for everyone. If, however, you are feeling unwell and have flu-like symptoms, we would nicely ask you not to come in, just as precaution to minimise any risks. We understand this is a stressful time for everyone and people are feeling anxious, so come and unwind over a beer & a burger

The 1,135-oun...ce Golden Eagle was naturally shaped like an eagle with outspread wings and created a national sensation. It was unearthed by 16-year-old Jim Larcombe on January 15, 1931 on his father's claim near Widgiemooltha in the WA Goldfields. The Golden Eagle was sold to the State Government and melted down during the height of the Great Depression.
