Title: How to manage work/life balance to achieve your work and personal life targets Date: Wednesday 18 November Time: 10:30 to 11:30 (AEST)... How do you juggle career and family life or interests outside of work? Join us for a discussion with Clare Giacomantonio from EY who has a career in consulting and an active family life with young children. Clare will share her personal career journey and how she has maintained career progression through two stints of parental leave and while working part-time. She’ll talk about the day-to-day life of a consultant in a professional services firm and how she balances her personal and professional interests and responsibilities. There’s no single solution to achieving work-life balance and we can all benefit from hearing each other’s stories so there will be ample time for questions and discussion around what has worked and not worked for others. Clare Giacomantonio, Director in Power and Utilities, EY Clare has an undergraduate degree in physics and biophysics and a PhD in computational neuroscience. Clare transitioned out of the academic world and into electricity market modelling and analysis in 2012 at boutique consulting firm ROAM Consulting. She moved to EY in 2014 as part of an acquisition of ROAM Consulting. She has provided clients with modelling and advice on diverse generation, transmission and market design projects in Australia’s energy markets. Aspects of electricity markets she has worked on include transmission regulatory investment tests, reliability studies, wholesale market price forecasts, policy impacts, interconnector studies and new generation development opportunities. Clare draws on experience and training in physics, engineering, data science, market modelling, transactions and policy development to deliver insight based on quantitative analysis that is grounded in an understanding of physical, commercial, regulatory and environmental realities. She is motivated by contributing to the transition to a sustainable energy system. This event will be capped at 20 people to ensure maximum engagement and value for attendees.
