23.01.2022 There are a lot of rumours floating around that groomers can groom a dog if they have a letter from a vet stating it is needed for the dogs welfare. This is incorrect, and any groomer caught working, no matter how badly the dog needs tending to, risks a $10k fine! Currently only vets are allowed to groom dogs, where it is an absolute welfare issue.... We are still fighting and making noise on behalf of your dogs, even if the government believe lawnmowing, Bunnings and kmart are more essential than your dogs welfare #clipandcollect

20.01.2022 Last night Channel 7 news were informed that Pet Grooming wouldn't be allowed back until the end of October Yes this closure hurts me mentally & financially but I am more concerned about the welfare of all your dogs, the thought of them having to wait so long is terribly upsetting Please please sign the petition, we have over 10,000 signatures now, hopefully the government may realise that grooming isn't just about appearance but is a welfare issue.... https://www.change.org/p/daniel-andrews-reopen-dog-grooming

16.01.2022 Sunday Covid update: We are still waiting for clarification from the Premiers Office regarding if home groomers can open and the 5km rule. It may be another couple of days before it is clarified in writing. Also, please remember that if we are given the go ahead to open; it is still dependent on Covid numbers staying below 50 for 14 days straight, so things still may change....

13.01.2022 I groom so many dogs that have been turned away from the big salons due to their behaviour, don't like cages or being around other dogs which is why one-on-one grooming is necessary and in high demand. 11.01.2022 I love seeing how happy all the pups are once their covid fur is removed, they are so much happier to be free of all that fluff. I have almost caught up on all the post-lockdown appointments and will be back to a normal schedule for a couple of weeks, until Xmas arrives. There is a possibility that only retail salons can open (not sure about home business) and it appears that the 5km radius will still apply.... 06.01.2022 *Monday update* This morning we have been advised that only retail stores can open from the 28th September, which means no home groomers (as well as no mobile) We are still fighting hard to have this decision reversed.... At the moment my advice is if your dog is in desperate need for a groom, contact one of the big chain stores and secure an appointment, if I am allowed to open sooner we can always book you in. I would prefer that your dogs health is the main priority. I am so disappointed to hear this news today, I feel like I am on a rollercoaster. My main priority is the health & welfare of your pets. I will try keep everyone updated as I receive more news.

05.01.2022 I have my fingers crossed, but not holding my breath, that there will be good news for groomers (and a lot of other industries) on Sunday. I have made a list of everyone who has had their appointment cancelled during lockdown (you will be rescheduled first) and everyone who has contacted me to make an appointment and will be ready to start contacting everyone as soon as it is announced I am allowed to open again. Some of you may have noticed other home groomers (& some mobil...e) are advertising they are opening from Monday. Unfortunately I have it in writing from Business VIC, DHHS & my local MP that home based groomers are not considered "retail" and as such are not meant to be opening under Step 2. If I was to open I would be risking massive fines (up to $20k) and also would not be covered under insurance, so my decision is to remain closed until I have clear confirmation that I can open legally. I hope you are all staying safe, well & as sane as can be P.s. thank you for all your support, I have the bestest clients ever

05.01.2022 Yay!!! People power worked!!! Salons can reopen from the 28th September. Thank you to everyone who supported us ... I will contact everyone during the week to reschedule everyone in order from when the appointment was cancelled (around 150 dogs to be groomed). I know you are all excited, but I am being inundated with messages right now and cannot reply. I am in the middle of trying to pack my mum's house so she can move this week. I will be unable to answer any messages until Monday but rest assured I will get all your dogs booked in as soon as I can. Until I have reascheduled all existing clients I will not be taking on any new clients. Thank you again and enjoy your weekend

04.01.2022 Today's update was as clear as mud, and as usual, the government websites have conflicting information and still have not been updated even though we have been asking for clarification for weeks. 03.01.2022 This week I should have been celebrating Wiggle Butts 4th birthday. Instead, I have been back and forth to government departments and my local MP trying to get clarification whether home groomers can reopen on the 28th, and if not, why are we being excluded and where it is in writing. I have been given so much conflicting information this week, including a definite yes you can reopen, then a retraction of that at 10pm the same day. I don't know whether to laugh or cry anymore... There is nothing written explicitly on any government website specifically regarding home groomers, but if I do open (which some home groomers are going to do), I risk a $10k or $20k fine (and with my luck, I would get fined) I advise anyone needing their dog groomed urgently to contact one of the retail stores asap as they are already booking out. 02.01.2022 The media has been reporting that pet groomers can reopen today. This news is misguided, and only retail stores are able to open today. I promise you that I am doing everything I can to be able to open for your pets, and staying updated with the official information from the government.... As soon as I have new information I promise I will be in touch with everyone. On a lighter note, I received this wonderful parcel this morning from a group of interstate groomers who are supporting all of us in Melbourne
