25.01.2022 This month, the children have been focusing on "Road Safety" and throughout the week we have been learning about road signs and their meaning, we have created a traffic light collage and were taught what the red, yellow and green colors mean as well as created a car using a cardboard box as part of our sustainability project. The children assisted their educators in painting the cardboard using orange and blue paint which was what the children wanted to use. When the paint fi...nally dried, we took photos with a real steering wheel and pretended we were going to the beach and to the shops, it was a lot of fun. We also went out to the car park to teach the children that we should always check our surroundings and hold our mummies and daddies hands before walking. We went over to Miss Kristy's car where we learnt to put on our seatbelts as it is very safe to do so when we are going out driving somewhere. It was a lot of fun and our friends really enjoyed our mini adventure. See more

25.01.2022 It was such an exciting time in the Dolphins room today when Miss Allison and Miss Melinda realized some lettuce we had previously planted was ready to be picked. Miss Jessica took a group of children outside to pick the lettuce and Miss Simi cut it up for lunch to have on our wraps. The dolphin children focused on their self-help skills practicing to serve themselves using the tongs provided. The children were so excited to see the lettuce they had picked on their plate for Lunch.

22.01.2022 Yesterday was our dolphins graduation. We want to thank our families for attending and wish our friends the very best in kindergarten!!

15.01.2022 The children have really enjoyed their snow experience this morning. The children were busy developing their sensory skills and interaction skills whilst playing with our snow. The children enjoyed having a little snow fight, making snow angels and laughing with one another. What the children found to be the most funniest is going over to their educators and covering them completely in snow. It was so much fun!

05.01.2022 The children participated in "World Ocean Day" on the 8th June and has been a big help in developing our knowledge on the sea life. We have participated in multiple activities; creating jellyfish collage on a paper plate, seahorse sponge painting, star fish bubble wrap painting and fish painting. We have learnt about why it is important to keep our ocean clean by doing a 'clean up' activity where the children glued rubbish to a whale painting to show them what the sea life li...ve in. We have also enjoyed doing an "under the sea" flash cards during our yarning circle experience, our educators would ask us "what animal is this?" and by the end of the week, the children were able to identify half of the flashcards, well done friends! We have been developing our sensory skills over at the ocean goop table mixed in with coloured rocks and sea creature toys, the children have really enjoyed this experience by getting their hands a little messy and interacting well with one another by playing and laughing a lot. And we are very excited to be changing our home corner theme to an "Under the Sea" theme, the children helped their educators put up the paper on the wall and painted it blue. We are excited to continue our adventure and our knowledge on the sea life! See more
