25.01.2022 Cindy Hughes of Lanes Creek Brahman Stud, Georgetown gets the attention of her Stud’s team of 23 impressively bred bulls heading to the Wilangi Sale on Friday November 29th at Charters Towers.



25.01.2022 HOW EXCITING ! - The Decision is Made ! Lawson Camm of Cambil Brahmans will be offering both his great, full-brother, POLL sire prospects at the Wilangi Sale. Lot 13 is Cambil Hemsworth (photo below) and Lot 12 will be Cambil Jackman. They’ve got to be right up on the top shelf of poll sires offered in recent times. Many will have seen them this year with big Broadribbons around them. Jackman was Junior Champion at the Rockhampton Brahman Feature Show, while Hemsworth was Reserve Senior Champion at Brisbane Royal Show, another Brahman Feature Show. What an opportunity there’s not a ‘struck match’ between them as you’d expect of their classic genetics! Poll enthusiasts Friday November 29th is the date !

19.01.2022 Wilangi’s 2yo Lot 165, Headly, will really suit someone looking for a good quality, white grey bull of quiet temperament, length, excellent muscle pattern and softness. He’s a grandson of the outstanding JDH Elmo sire so it’s not surprising that he shows the strong carcass qualities that the beef industry requires.

18.01.2022 This is David Reid actually scanning Lot 13, the catalogue front cover photo bull, Cambil Hemsworth. This polly sire prospect scanned 142 sqcm EMA, weighs 900kg and is a milk tooth at 25 mths.

15.01.2022 BIG BUTTS & BROAD BACKLINES G’day, I’m one of Wilangi’s 25 3yo herd bulls, Lots 68 to 92 in the Sale. A photo of my butt is in the catalogue you may have noticed. Well, I’m proud to say I’m at the top of Sale weights for herd bulls, 964kg, AND they tell me my EMA is 142 sqcm. My pen-mate has 150 sqcm EMA the biggest in the book!! It’s all about BEEF! Just to let you know, all my group of 25 Wilangi herd bulls averaged 849kg and 137 sqcm EMA. I hope I see you all at the Sale this Friday 29th at Charters Towers.

These bulls are the No. 7 Purebred Herd Bulls that Wilangi has catalogued this year - Lots 68-92. Big, strong, coastal bred, working age bulls of excellent beef and carcass performance as you will see from their stat.’s on the Sale’s supplementary sheet.

13.01.2022 There’s plenty about this bull that will keep beef producers’ eyes coming back to him. Lot 68, Lanes Creek El Quatro is really equipped with great carcass credentials tremendous natural muscle expression, full through the flank, excellent even soft finish, etc. He’s a very masculine bull, 31 months and has a good temperament. Backed by a pedigree of strength, by NCC El Toro out of a JDH Elmo daughter. What you see in the photo is what you get with this bloke more calves and more kilo’s from the paddock.

13.01.2022 Wilangi have their first draft of 2yo herd bulls selling this year. They are an attractive group, forward in their maturity, strong in their carcass credentials and show excellent breed quality. They’ll suit the quality steer breeders for sure.

12.01.2022 How’s this for a commercial herd bull from the Wilangi team? Lot 163 is a 2yo sired by Lanes Creek Ironwood (the Sugarwood line) out of an unregistered Wilangi purebred cow. Great length and muscle combination, big hindquarter, bulk breed style. Leading steer breeders should be all over this fellow. The Ironwood sire is doing a great and consistent job in the Wilangi Stud.

11.01.2022 Master is Lot 9, the Viva Stud team leader for the Wilangi Sale. He’s a grandson of JDH Elmo and his dam scored a blue ribbon win at the World Brahman Congress of 2016. His style and natural beef performance are both top class.
