24.01.2022 Thank you everybody for being a part of our Wilbur's Carpentry Pty Ltd NRL Footy Tipping Comp for 2019........ Because we don't include finals - I can finally reveal the results. 1st place - Sue F........ Sue held her lead for nearly half the comp. She was lucky enough to pick the round and no one ever seemed to be able to catch her. Well done Sue F..... Go the girls!!!! Sue takes home a total of $2590.00... 2nd place - Lucas Egan..... Could never quite catch Sue - Lucas takes home a total of $1110.00 Our extra fun prize of $100 goes to The Harrisons - this prize is randomly picked using a random number picking phone app. It is for everyone who never ever missed submitting their tips for every game in every round all season. It is supposed to encourage you all to keep going even if you are not winning......... I guess some of you didn't get the memo? And last but just as fun is our Wooden Spoon award. This award only goes to someone who never ever missed submitting their tips for every game in every round all season - AND STILL CAME LAST!! I had to count from the bottom up and was almost to half way before I found someone who never missed submitting any tips! Wooden Spoon award goes to Hull Family! You are now the proud owner of a fancy gold painted wooden spoon with gold curling ribbon - oh, and you also get your $50.00 entry fee back. But that's not all! You also get your name engraved on our Perpetual Wooden Spoon Plaque which hangs proudly in our offices. Congratulations to all our winners. 03.01.2022 And the winners are.. Well, we’ve been watching Kavieng at the top for a few weeks now. He managed to hold his spot and come through for the win by just 1 point, on 118. Congratulations to Dennis Chan (aka Kavieng) he takes home a total of $2485.00.... Coming in a very close second, and split 2 ways as it was a draw, on 117 points was Angus Matheson (aka The Gusman) and Nick Harkin. Congratulations guys. You are taking home $532.50 each. The wooden spoon award is given to the person who has put their tips in each and every game, each and every week without missing any games, and still manage to achieve the lowest score.... This year the winner is Rachel Edwards (aka LittlePanda). She takes home her $50.00 entry fee along with a stunning solid wooden gold painted spoon with sparkly curling ribbon, and her name forever memorialized on a fancy plastic plaque, which we keep here at the office. Congratulations Rach! I’m not sure what is going on the Edwards family, but this is the fourth year in a row that someone in the family has won wooden spoon. You might want to watch the Footy Show a bit more regularly. Or stop backing the Eels Last of all.. to encourage everyone not to forget to put their tips in each week, we have a $100.00 cash prize which is randomly chosen. This year, out of 80 tipsters there were only 24 people who never missed a game.... The Thursday night games snuck up on a few people. The randomly drawn winner this year is Graham Edwards!
