25.01.2022 Recently had the pleasure to machine up a small flitch of Blackheart Sassafras into bookleaf pair . Beautiful black ink grain with a soft salmon grain stain . Destined for an artists easel in the near future .

23.01.2022 Redgum slab destined for firewood sourced from Byron Smith at Whyalla Wood Slabs. Was one piece but now split , twisted, warped, cupped ....you name it ........ Not for long !!!!!

22.01.2022 Latest addition to the workshop . 380mm helical cutter head thicknesser . 74 individual 4 sided cutting heads in a spiral pattern means greatly reduced tear out. Especially with curly and figured native hardwoods and a smooth as silk finish. Now to find some work for this beauty !!

19.01.2022 Day trip to a property at Mambray Creek to give Byron Smith of Whyalla Wood Slabs a hand to mill a storm felled Rivergum . Very nice quality and around 4.5m long x 6 to 700 wide . Hopefully other parts of same tree will yield enough for me to make a fireplace surroud for the property owners ..... Keep you informed !!

09.01.2022 Parametric Wall Art ..... I was intrigued by the idea of the use of timber and natural flow . This piece has 47 individually hand cut timbers each different to the neighbouring board . Certainly a statement piece and a great conversation starter .
