13.01.2022 Today I was determined to go on an adventure, and while we never made it, the journey there was certainly an adventure. It started with missing keys, we looked all for over an hour but found them outside. We got to the road to the trail I found online and as we were going down it we gradually realised the further we were driving that it was more of a 4WD track then a Toyota Aurion track, she’s gotten us to some neat dirt road places before but we started hearing scraping un...derneath. Then we saw someone on the road (more of a dirt track at this point). Actually, I saw them first, picking something up off of the ground. When they saw the car coming (super slowly because of the rocky ground) they sprinted off the road. By the time we got to where we they were, we saw them hiding behind a tree, barefoot. It was really weird and we thought about asking if they were okay but they seemed scared of us. We kept going down the track and got to a point we were sure we would get bogged and so reversed until it was a little wide enough to turn around and went back. By the time we got to where the person was they were gone, and will now be haunting my dreams. If my husband wasn’t there, I wouldn’t be sure if it was real, it was so bizarre. We decided it was time to go home, but stopped at this burnt car for some photos. Stolen and torched or a remnant of the bushfires? Not sure we will ever know. So that is our adventure today, we never made it to the destination, but we made it out with a story.
