Giving yourself or a loved one the gift of a Birth Circle is a way of honouring yourself and/or the pregnant woman and her passage into motherhood, with love and support. This will stay with her as she endures the challenges of labour, birth and breast-feeding whether it is her first or fourth time; for with each birth comes it's own journey. As a mother of four, each Birth Circle I had was a magical and mystical ceremonial delight to rejoice in my last few weeks before the baby came, where I would be immersed in looking after the baby. This is a way to remember to look after yourself and the huge job of mothering about to be undertaken, within a circle of the loving women in your life to guide, support and celebrate this miracle of life-giving. A Birth Circle can be as big as 20 or as small as 3-the intention and circle is just as powerful.

05.01.2022 I met up with this beautiful couple last night and we shared our stories of love and joys from their big day. The wonderful Ona Janzen did a spectacular job of these photographs! The groom shared with me how time and space completely fell away during the ceremony. Getting married is a rite of passage and should feel like it! A good celebrant can carry you through this passage and hold a space for you and those present, cracking open hearts and souls with love and lightness. When you come out the other side with a melted heart and a soul that has been touched by something greater than yourself-the power of the force created by the 2 of you...LOVE XX
