17.01.2022 Many of our Wildcard Luxury Cruises followers and friends would recall Juanita suffered serious hand injuries earlier this year when a bull shark hooked up on her fishing line, taking her Spanish Mackerel, and then tragically, nearly her hand also. Thanx to the amazing Emergency Services, CareFlight NT Top End and their tireless aerial medicvac services they faithfully provide. Within hours, Juanita was urgently helicoptered in their dedicated Air Ambulance chopper from isola...ted Cape Wessel East Arnhem Land NT to Royal Darwin Hospital for 3 urgent surgeries over her next 12 days of recovery. Juanita's medivac was one of CareFlight NT's longest, and most remote recovery requiring 2 chopper refuels in transit at Maningrida both over, and on return flight back to Darwin. We cannot thank Emergency Services, CareFlight NT staff and doctors, Air Ambulance Pilot Peter, in-flight nurse Paul and crewman Ben, St John's Ambulance, Royal Darwin Hospital and so many others who assisted enough for their help.
