25.01.2022 One of our long standing volunteers and carers Bev Shuker has been nominated for Australian Of The Year. Bev is not only on our committee but is also one of our more experienced carers as she looks after pinkies to release stage in macropods. Bev also rehabilitates many birds along the way back to release. Bev is mentor to many carers and is always there to share her knowledge. 24.01.2022 Releasing is a major part of caring for wildlife. That's why we work with landholders in the greater Darwin region to find suitable release sites. If you would like to offer your land for release please contact us. And a big thanks to the Lorella team!

16.01.2022 This was a video, which was produced a couple of years ago by one of our bat rescuer. Most of these farm fences are now bunted. But it is a good reminder why we do what we do.

10.01.2022 A big thank you to The Ark Vets for looking after this mum. She was found along with another female possum stuck in the bottom of a water tank and both could not get out. They both had a good check up at The Ark vets clinic, one of the mums had to have an X-ray as she had a wound on her back. You can see Bub tucked up nice and safe in mums pouch during the X-ray.

09.01.2022 Have you found a Baby Bird. Have a look at the guide to show you what you should do and what is best for the Baby Bird.

09.01.2022 They are back, the best start to look after our wildlife is to create habitat. Not sure how, then join and let them help you.

07.01.2022 All creatures great and small. We often get microbats in when they are hit by fans or just misplaced. They are in care for a couple of days with a vaccinated carer.

06.01.2022 This is a young rose crowned fruit dove. We only see them in small pockets up here, as they are more rain forrest birds. They are fruit eaters. This bird came into care as youngster.

02.01.2022 A big thank you to the guys from Palmerston Fire Station B Company, who assisted with a rescue of a corella who had become wrapped in fishing line, and then tied itself up in a tree in Moulden. Fortunately heavy gloves protected fingers, and after health check the corella was able to rejoin its flock.

02.01.2022 Creating habitat again is one of the most important tasks. So using 3d printing seems like a great idea

01.01.2022 Thanks so much for rescuing him Phil. Baby is now with a carer and will one day be released back into the wild.
