25.01.2022 Wildcats need help! We have to move this weekend and havent been able to find another place (4 mths of searching - but hey, that's Covid for you!). We have to pay movers to take all our stuff incl heaps of equipment to a storage place on Sat, then will have to pay again to truck it all out when we find a place. Have to also pay for gardeners & cleaners at the old place .... ouch! 25.01.2022 KRUSTY, a 1 year old ginger boy, that we rescued when he was a kitten, has finally got a wonderful furrever home. Here he is relaxing in bed. We will keep rescued cats as long as it takes to find them loving homes. He's gone from living under a rusty old car out in the cold to a warm bed and his new BFF, a young girl, to curl up with. We love happy endings!

24.01.2022 We rescued 2 tabby kittens only 5 weeks old this week but the boy, Dixon, had a head injury. Despite the best vet care and Barb's Reiki healing, he suffered a cerebral haemorrage today and passed away. Kittens are so vulnerable out on the street but we cant always save them. Dixon has been buried in a lovely garden under a tree. So sad he only got 5 weeks of life and a lot of pain. 19.01.2022 This is the horrible death awaiting many cats dumped on the street. This 6 mth old ginger girl was hit by a car and killed early this morning. We've already rescued 2 of her siblings but for lack of resources were too late to save her. We're all volunteers at Wildcats as we dont get enough in donations to afford staff. We have to try and rescue street cats after work or on the weekend. We're always in need of more equipment, more foster carers and volunteers and more donations to pay for vet costs. 19.01.2022 I was at the beach this morning when an old Labrador collapsed and couldnt get up. His human couldn't pick him up. I went over & asked if I could give him (Ned) a Reiki healing. The answer was yes please. Ned has severe arthritis in his spine, hips & legs and is 14 years old. After a 3 min healing, Ned not only got up but walked off down the beach and even ran into the water! So glad I was there and able to help him. 17.01.2022 We have found 2 black 6 month old kittens with 4 kittens each living in a Gold Coast car yard. Kittens having kittens. This is what happens when people dump their undesexed pets on the street. These cats are lucky because they're getting food and will be rescued but there are hundreds of others who will starve to death out on the street. We need volunteers to help feed & catch them, foster carers to help look after them and donations to help us buy more medium size dog carriers which is what we use to catch them. They are much more effective (and humane) than traps. Please help us rescue more kittens struggling to survive. 10.01.2022 Just 3 weeks ago TUFFY was a feral tomcat who had been born on the street and spent his whole 4 years of life on the street. He was all teeth & claws when Barb first rescued him. Here he is now purring away on his foster carer watching TV! Most rescue groups spend weeks or even months trying to tame ferals & most wouldn't even bother to rescue a tomcat ... but we do! 09.01.2022 TUFFY'S STORY .... For a record 4 years he was the top tomcat in an industrial estate but he had a lot of scars as he had been hit by cars twice and got into fights with other cats often. First photo shows him with a broken foot behind the mechanical workshops where he lived. Second photo is him just after being rescued. The bottom 2 photos are of him with his new mum & dad. This is a wild tomcat that Council, RSPCA & AWL all said could never be tamed and should be euthanased. They routinely kill street cats saying they're not rehomable. Well sorry, but they are! We rescue street cats and rehome them all the time. Tuffy loves his new life, loves watching TV and for the first time in his life is playing like a kittten! #cats #pets #catadoption #catrescue

09.01.2022 We need trays like these supermarket food containers to use to feed street cats. Typical of what we use are the rectangular bowls with Woollies salads in them & from the meat section, Chicken Kievs, Tenders, Nibbles or whatever from either Coles or Woollies. 06.01.2022 HELP! In 2015 Wildcats adopted out these beautiful Burmese X girls to a family in Mt Nathan. Today, Poppy turned up at the pound and we were called as her owners had not registered her microchip in their names. Unfortunately we lost many of our cat records for 2015 when we moved in 2016 so we can't find her owner's details. Please help us find them by sharing this post locally. She was found in Mt Nathan. She doesnt seem to have been listed on any of the lost pets registers and nobody has called the pound looking for her. We hope she hasn't been dumped or abandoned. Please Share on GC.

04.01.2022 Gorgeous Burmese George went missing last week and his human mum was beside herself fearing she'd never see him again. On Friday she contacted Barb (who is a Reiki animal healer) for help. 04.01.2022 Less than a month ago TUFFY was a feral tomcat living behind a factory. He was born there and had lived his whole life (4 yrs) on the street. We rescued him when he almost choked to death on a chicken bone foraged from a dumpster. That night Barb gave him a Reiki healing to calm him down as he was all teeth and claws. We got him desexed the next day at Vetcall Ashmore and the vet nurses all said he was such a sweetie. Barb gave him another Reiki healing and taught him how to play with his paws, not claws. Here he is draped over his foster carer's shoulder. He's the biggest smooch! The big orgs and Council believe these cats are not able to be tamed. They kill them. We don't. 04.01.2022 RAGGY, a beautiful Ragdoll male who was dumped on the street in Nerang, had terrible head injuries and a broken left front leg (hit by a car). We've been trying to catch him for 2 weeks to get him to the vet but can't (and we're the experts). Meanwhile Barb has been giving him remote Reiki healings - and its working! He was much better yesterday ... phew! Sometimes all we can do is get Barb to give the injured and sick cats we can't catch Reiki healings. It usually works. We have taken them into care but urgently need to find a nursing mum cat who might take them on as they only have a 50% chance of surviving without a mum cat. 04.01.2022 TABATHA is an 8 mth old Calico Torti who was abandoned with a litter of 3 young kittens - just left on the street to fend for herself. Sadly only 1 of her kittens survived. 03.01.2022 These are typical filthy surroundings for kittens born on the street. From a litter of 4-5 kittens, only 1 or sometimes 2, might survive past the first 8 weeks. We try and rescue them before they die of starvation, dehydration, giardia from drinking contaminated water or infected untreated injuries. 01.01.2022 Two days before his death, I took a photo of Dixon with this ray of light shining on him. He seemed so Angelic. I now feel there were angels all around him then. He has a lovely resting place and will always be in our hearts.
