21.01.2022 So true Mr Lennon, so true! If my weekend had gone to plan, Id be attending marketing conferences on the Goldcoast right now. I got 3.5 hrs up the coast and was turned around due to the bushfires. The only alternative was a 5 hr detour so I opted to return home. Oh man! Id booked accomodation, cleared my schedule and made arrangements for my kids. A mild inconvenience though really compared to what so many are going through battling these fires to save homes.... Having cleared my schedule anyway Ive gone head down tail up and am having a working staycation! So far this weekend, working on my business Ive acheived more than I have in weeks and still going! Free from distraction Ive been able to really focus my effort and tick things off the to do list! A forced change of plans doesnt always present an obvious silver lining but were nothing if not resilient and adaptable. Retrospectively, some of the greatest blessings in my life have been totally unplanned for, forced me to be flexible and added the essence of life to journey! . . . . . . #adapt #changeofplans #portmacquariephotographer #workingfromhome #focusedeffort

08.01.2022 Iconically Port Macquarie!!! . We're getting to that time of year when the #skies are crisp and clear and the light is something #magical . . It's the time of year when I would usually like to pack the kids and a stack of camera gear in the car and head #upthecoast. Drag them out of bed at 4.30am to come on #photographyexpeditions with me. Of course, living where I live, I don't really even have to leave home to find amazingly photogenic #scenery! #soblessed... . With restrictions on activities and travel due to the COVID19 crisis, taking outings and trips purely for the art of photography is something that will have to wait, also with #socialdistancing, #photographicportraiture is impossible and my #professionalphotographyservices are consisered non essential. So my #newbornstudio sits abandoned for now. However, given #PortMacquarie is the #pictureperfectplayground in which to take my kids out for #exercise, all is not lost! When I come across scenes like this iconic #sunset #silohette of #norfolkislandpines while out #walking at #townbeachportmacquarie, I may not be able to "make camp" with tripods, filters and extra lenses but even just grabbing a #quicksnap helps me to remain feeling #connected to my #photoart and #passion! . Like many photographers I have read comment from recently, I too am taking this opportunity to catch up on my editing from some recent #photographytrips!
