24.01.2022 Another day, another bent Crowd Cylinder Shaft. Can see the wear/ damage where the Clevis was hitting the centre Lug on Mount Plate.

21.01.2022 A family friend asked if I could check out the Brakes on his Boat Trailer. Umm, yeah, there’s ya problem right there! So after fitting new Disc Hubs, Pads, Bearings/Seals, it’s ready for more Saltwater dunkings.

21.01.2022 Last week, I had a job to take the dirt from a Pool dig out and load onto trucks- the original Plan was to use a Bobcat, but the access was too tight, and boggy. Well, after 6,754 bucket loads,( that’s what it felt like!!), job done. Took me several days to recover

20.01.2022 Had a K93 Perkins come in, to fit a new Water Pump. This is the engine side of Radiator. The front side was spotless. Because the Fan is a Pusher type, any debris gets caught, and not easily noticeable because of the Fan shroud. Then add an Oil leak,so the dirt and dust sticks like S..t to a blanket, and before you know, engine overheating!

17.01.2022 When I get a Machine in for a Service or Repair, first thing I do is pop the Air cleaner lid off. Check the date/ hours against the Clock. Wire had been taken off Hour Meter!

16.01.2022 This is what happens when the Center Bush in Mount Plate flogs out- this allows the Mount Plate to over extend, causing the rear lip of Attachment Mount to contact Ram shaft, Bending and denting it. Check your Bushes !

16.01.2022 The local Kanga Rep, Wes Turner, ( who’s an absolute Legend ), gave me a couple Pens last week. A really nice, solid pen. If he keeps this up, I might end up with a green and yellow Machine! Nah, just kidding.

16.01.2022 Recent Phone call- my Dingo just went clunkity clunk BANG, can you come and fix it? No worries, a shiny new Engine will sort that problem out, easy. Hamish from Compact Dingo Services supplied the new Perkins 20 HP Engine.

15.01.2022 Last Saturday, carting some boulders/ rocks, for a local Landscaper. Some were nearly as big as the K93 he was using to place them on a retaining wall.

13.01.2022 Had a call from the owner of Dingo last week, asking if I could repair a gate at the old Dingo Australia Branch here in Tville. ( it’s currently being used by a car hire company). Gate fixed, Invoice paid, all good.

13.01.2022 Job for today- Power trench in Pool area. Gap between pool and Garden edge, 830mm. Gate opening, 960mm.Had to drag the Bucket in, as there was a capping rail over Gate. Fitted skinny wheels, 810mm width. Job done, Customer happy. Thanks to Hamish at Compact Dingo Services for supplying the skinnys.

12.01.2022 Dan from Atomic Irrigation, dropped his Toro TX 1000 and Auger Torque Post Hole Driver in last week- they just weren’t marrying up enough to allow the QR Pins to engage. With a bit of grinding here, and a bit of Die Grinding there, Smicko, all good. It’s what I do - Customers happy. It’s not hard!

10.01.2022 Covid seems to have had an effect on the availability of tyres - Been having trouble getting the BKT heavy duty tyres. Hamish from Compact Dingo Services has supplied me with some Bushmaster 8 Ply tyres. Very similar to the BKT.

09.01.2022 The old K94 models are only 970mm wide, perfect for 1 MTR Gateways, even with the Hinge on, leaves a few mm clearance. I see the new Models have different Hubs, spreading width out about 1030mm. Will certainly make them more stable/ less prone to rolling over. I’ll stick with the old skinny model thanks. Have done quite a few Jobs where a wider Machine just wouldn’t fit.

07.01.2022 My Daughters found this at Dan Murphys.

06.01.2022 It’s been many many years since Dingo changed the type of Seals in the Flow Divider Valve, and yet a machine turns up here for a re Seal, with the older type Seals- only done 900 hours, so probably original ? The green type were a hard plastic type, whereas the new improved Seals are a rubbery type. Easier to fit, and don’t seem to break down with age and heat.
