24.01.2022 Just try NOT dancing to this. https://open.spotify.com/track/2qzUpSVI4NnPyWxbXwumTj

24.01.2022 No filter. It's happening! Sometimes we have to dig real deep to find something to be grateful for orto look forward to, sometimes it just appears right in our face. Take a moment today to find your Spring, glimpses like this can be very uplifting and energising. ... Stop right now and take 3 deep breaths; if there's music, get your groove on - even if it's just for a few minutes. So worth it!

21.01.2022 The Joy of Giving indeed! It's Melbourne. It's wet. It's a Wilderdance kinda day. It's gotta be the Boogas! Have fun with it. https://open.spotify.com/track/2Atfa2wZlcN5HSNvlYsy1G

20.01.2022 The social media chain thing isn’t really my bag however for this particular one I feel it’s important to voice my thoughts and feelings about what drives this seemingly empty trend, and perhaps encourage others to do the same. I’m participating for 3 main reasons. Solidarity. This trend was started to bring awareness to femicide in Turkey. To bring awareness to the silent murders and the insidious violence against women committed by somewhat invisible perpotrators. This is... also a problem here in Australia. One woman a week dies as a result of domestic violence. This is a fact. This is my small but hopefully not insignificant way to share this fact and to also bring awareness to the fact that it could be any one of us, as women, that have our faces splashed across the tabloids and the socials as a victim of violence. I have chosen to post my face here. Connection. Most women I know are feeling the gendered effects of the pandemic. The struggle is real, I feel you. To see the faces of my friends, all the wonderful women who have helped shape and inform the woman that I am, I miss you and I see you. And to all those women using your voice on this platform, I hear you. Gratitude. I awoke this morning to the sound of the birds, Spring is on our doorstep. I awoke having slept soundly next to the loving person with whom I share life. I awoke in a home, in a place I feel comfortable and safe. For all these things I’m grateful. So, any way, #challengeaccepted I can confidently say taking a selfie of myself was not that challenging. Speaking up and calling out violent or prejudiced behaviour can be though, and I intend to accept that challenge every day. Proceeds from the sale of the earrings I’m wearing went to help victims of family violence - championed by the incredible Pitchface choir. Raise your voice. Raise awareness. Donate. #kadnaiddetehayr #saynotoviolenceagainstwomen #womensupportingwomen

18.01.2022 I'm feeling really tender this week. I've wanted to share my thoughts and feelings but it's not one or two things coming through succinctly, it's EVERYTHING. Way too much to share in one sitting. What I can share is the music, and the vibes. It's my hug for all of you out there. If you've been feeling a little tender too, this one is for you. Move through it. Practice presence, gratitude and mindfulness in the slow. When it gets wild, practice letting it all go. All t...he time keeping your heart space open. Meditate when it feels organic. The first 7 songs are the workshop, the rest is dessert. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4FOcXRqDGDjOMnohaR7qei

16.01.2022 I forgot to tag people for the # challengeaccepted - told ya, chains aren't my bag. Anyway, I tag everyone and anyone who wants to bring awareness to the cause. Also, here's a birch I took a pic of today on my walk with the lovely @ellebee4eva. No filter. The bark really was that white. The sky really was that blue. Gratitude.

12.01.2022 Take 2 minutes and 53 seconds today to practice awareness, and please, allow me to provide the soundtrack. Find your warm place and press play on this little diddy. Move your hands and fingers slowly. Really feel the movement, and marvel at the complexity and beauty of it. ... Look closely at your skin, and marvel at the complexity and beauty of it. Be thankful for the movement and for the beauty of the moment. https://open.spotify.com/track/2mLHF5BirWXgDPaRRu8zK3

11.01.2022 I'm in the sharing mood Wilderdancers. This may be old news to a few of you but I've only recently seen this vid featuring Coburg High students. It made my heart swell, and gave me the warm and fuzzies. It's not dance related but it certainly fits the wilderdance ethos. Diversity. Inclusiveness. Humans looking out for other humans. All the makings for the spice of life. Looking forward to dancing with you in 2020. Much love. Enjoy x... https://youtu.be/bXaSiqWG6Q0

09.01.2022 This song has been my COVID19 anthem. Sometimes dancing wildly and letting it all out is the perfect remedy, sometimes just sitting with it is. Find yourself a slice of sunshine. Have it warm your face. Wrap yourself in this song. ... Think of all the things you have to be grateful for. REMEDIED. https://open.spotify.com/track/3drmlRJVlly1PWJGgKQXSI

09.01.2022 Wilderdance. Anytime. Anywhere. Make the most of the sun when it shines. Make the most of the space when it opens up before you.

06.01.2022 As I won't be taking any bookings for Wilderdance (at a time when we need it more than ever) I'd like to share this 30 minute playlist with y'all. It's one I've used for kids sessions, though I tend to use it for myself when I'm short on time. It's intuitive so you won't really need any guidance, just listen to the music and go with it. Do it solo, do it with a friend, or do it with the fam. I will suggest that you try a few techniques to ground yourself during the sl...ow song; take in your surroundings, make shapes with you're body, feel the air against your skin, and move with intention. Presence, presence, presence. Find beauty in the repetition. Head into the wilderness and let go when it feels right. Bring it back in to your heart space to finish with a standing or sitting meditation. Count your breaths, repeat an affirmation, or just listen to the music intently. Simply just sitting quietly for 6 our 7 minutes will help quiet your mind. Ok, so that was a bit more guidance then i intended, but just do what you do and enjoy it! ! https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2K8Nqarj1hJk8x7H5jLbOC

06.01.2022 I LOVE regularly dancing, especially with a community as intuitive and as engaged as this one, but in order to navigate new and exciting challenges in my own household this year I'll be dancing in the cracks - so to speak. I'm still taking bookings for schools, private groups, festivals and events so please contact me with any questions or thoughts you may have regarding a booking. Head to www.wilderdance.com.au for more info. You can email, call, text, or simply shoot me a message via Facebook. Wilderdance. Bringing the dance. Bringing the feels.
