The Enneagram of Change sh...ows us that part of growth is exercising our capabilities to their fullest within our current level of functioning. This will eventually reveal our inadequacies. These failures can send us in to questioning what we really want. Being even more in touch with our core values we find the motivation to address the inadequacies in order succeed in realizing our dream. It was Buddha's failure to be able to reconcile the suffering around him that sent him in his spiritual quest. And it was his sense of failure to find enlightenment that led to the resolve to sit down under the Bodhi Tree and not move until he was free. See more
