25.01.2022 Say hello to Blue! Our new Spiced Butterfly Pea Flower Tea Powder. TBH we couldn’t really think of a better name, but it’s kinda cute, completely unimaginative and we think it’s a good fit The main botanical is the antioxidant rich Butterfly Pea Flower which is a beautiful blue flower.... We remember first seeing this while visiting the tea village which grows our Assam Tea and being a little too excited. We have been planning for many years now in how to best bring this to our Community which is how this blend came about. Known as Shankhpushpi in Ayurvedic Medicine where it is is traditionally used for its actions on the central nervous system to reduce stress, improve brain function ( sign us up! ) and enhance general health. We have then added our all time fav botanical Passionflower to add extra support to the nervous system and the amazing Reishi mushroom known to support the immune system. Because we all know that the nervous system and the immune system are the main regulators to create homeostasis or balance within the body. This little Blue Powder is surprisingly sweet and we have been told that it’s calming to drink. 15.01.2022 Early in the Herbalists Garden this morning finishing planting Yerba Mate Brahmi Gotu Kola ... There was a bit of frost which the California Poppy wasn’t too happy about! But everything else had settled in well. Just waiting for the Bee balm Hops - to plant out on the triangle trellis Tea- which we are still not sure where to plant Once back in season we will be creating an arch of Passionflower ( Passiflora incarnata) our most favourite herbal medicine In the next few weeks we will start thinking of our Spring time courses but think medicine making of salves, tinctures and infusions. Then an extra day of essential oil blending and creating if you choose. Like to do a herbalist course with us? We would love you to share your thoughts

15.01.2022 This week we are officially claiming as Botanical Tea Powders Range Week This week we are going to talk a little more on each of our 4 New Blends. Why have we made these blends?... Firstly because our Tea Community has asked for it! There is a large shift from consuming second grade, chemical added and sugar filled Tea. We have been watching this evolve. So we wanted to make a product not filled with sugar/honey/agave/jaggery fillers and basically bulked up powders that have little to minimal health benefits. So we changed that. Also we know the power of ground powdered botanicals. In many ancient health systems such as Ayurvedic Medicine administration of ground botanicals is one of the major ways in which their medicines are taken. We have seen this first hand prescribed by Ayurvedic doctors and Gunis traditional healers in Indian Ayurvedic Hospitals and remote health clinics. It got use thinking about the importance of ground botanicals and how we can share this with our own Community. How do you make these blends? By hand! Yes! First our Clinical Herbalist formulated ratios of different specific ground botanicals making the blends recipe. Then we weigh out each ground botanical, then hand mix and pack. It’s actually quite fun! Where do you source your ingredients? The beautiful thing is our industry is a global industry. Meaning many botanicals are not grown here in Australia. So we source from the best farms from around the world often supporting the many communities and families around them. We buy direct when we can and always choose organic. How do you use these blends? Initially we are rolling out to cafes only. Our powders are easy to use and perfect for the busy barista! You will find our blends in cafes who care! Care about your health, the planet and supporting Australian made. We are hoping to get them out to be enjoyed at home very soon.
