25.01.2022 THE MOST UNIQUE wedding entry ever Marie and Keith wow'ed fellow #blazers by commencing in absolute style! @craigspittlesphotography: this is just one moment you captured so perfectly, thank you and thanks to all those who made it so special and memorable! After putting it out to the blaze community and offering advice, the stars aligned and powers that be, connected me with Marie. We soon discovered that we had so many mutual beautiful friends, and deciding to embark on... something completely different, the wheels were set in motion and a flurry of excited text messages were exchanged between us. We could barely contain our excitement. distance was no matter. Meticulous planning yes! But more important: holding true to the goals to live in the moment and be completely spontaneous. This beautiful couple married in a relaxed but extremely cheeky and sexy ceremony during the festival in front of the temple. Despite their union being open to blazers to watch and enjoy, it was so intimate and special that the memories of the day will be imprinted in our hearts forever. I can be a worry wart at the best of times because there are always so many details to get right. Each couple is so different and it's a matter of understanding exactly what they're after. The more avant garde the more risky. Well, here's my tedtimonial for the couple! THANK YOU, Marie and Keith! For being true to yourselves in doing what you both really wanted to do, for trusting in me as your celebrant and having faith in so many of your amazing family and friends who went ALL out. I'm always encouraging couples to be themselves ... and YOU achieved this and took our breath away. The result: soooo many exquisite surprises that were edgy and original. 25.01.2022 Fragola, or "Fraggie" for short, means strawberry in Italian. She is a WRP that weve been rehabilitating after she was mauled by dog. She has bounced back and her weight is healthy (we got her at just over 100 grams). It is not always a success story but we are so hopeful and excited for her to enter the Possum Finishing School next week Here she is snuggling up in my dressing gown sleeve worn by a friend Rossco! Through all this Corona virus scare and hype, caring for animals and others really helps to keep perspective. If you do not yet support a NFP service or volunteer, please consider doing so. It helps each of us humans to be less insular, less self-centered and more giving to critters or humans in far greater need.

24.01.2022 So many times in the past, I was labelled selfish or shallow. Told Id change my mind", "didnt know what life was truly about" or asked "but what will you do!?". Well I hold my head high and feel like I can fly. It took time though. And being older, wiser, less prone to being riled up with pressure and inappropriate questions, helps. . I am childless ... a choice made practically despite being in a stable relationship. I am lucky to have: choice, education and a loving husba...nd. . The subject is still very taboo and can isolate people whether the decision was theirs or not. . One year ago I created a networking group down south called " celebrating the childfree life" and it has a growing support base. . Please encourage others to join ... it may be a passing conversation with someone new to town or an idea that follows a deep and meaningful conversation where sensitive issues arise. . FACT: There is a growing number of people who are child free! . This group does not care whether youve got kids or not ... or even if youre based in Margaret River specifically (welcome visitors!!!). It provides reprieve to those who either dont have them, couldnt have them, love them but sometimes wish they didnt have them .... it may be a simple case of "its complicated", "just need a break", "Im keen to chat about stuff other than kids", "just really wish I could meet other people who get it" etc. . 21.01.2022 I hate it when people say "I'm too old to ...". Particularly when it is about going out, having a dance, clubbing. Booooooring. The way I see it, we are never too old to party. And if your attitude is otherwise, buck the idea that "you're too old" and ditch worrying about the number that is your age. Identify with who you want to be and how you feel. Know that it radiates outward and you are what you project. I managed to crank it on arthritic limbs and crooky back after investing in some wicked dancing sneakers and pulling friends onto an old beloved dancefloor (oh, and a couple of anti-inflammatories ha ha). Sooo much fun, I was agai reminded how I inherently NEED to get out and do this.. I'll never be too old to boogy!!!!!!! NEVER.

06.01.2022 This is a post from the recent Solstice Night by my hubby, Craig Spittles. Proud as punch! "This photo was taken at Redgate Beach just south of Margaret River on Saturday night. It was the eve of the Winter Solstice which basically means it is the day that has the least daylight hours of any other day in the year (which fell on the Sunday). Historically it celebrates the longest hours of darkness or the rebirth of the sun and is believed to hold a powerful energy for regener...ation, renewal and self-reflection. I took this image with my camera mounted to a "tracker" which is essentially a device that rotates the camera in sync with the rotation of the earth. This means you can expose for longer and get much more detail in the sky without having the trailing stars effect you may have seen in other images online. This astro photography has been an incredibly frustrating learning curve for me and I have tried numerous times to get a good shot and failed. I think the Pagan gods were smiling on me for making the effort to spend 6 hours on the beach in freezing cold conditions until the wee hours of Sunday morning for this one photo, as when I was exposing this last frame a huge shooting star streaked across the southern sky and added a touch to this photo I am absolutely stoked with. Also, the strange red ethereal clouds in the sky could not be seen with the naked eye and I was surprised to see them when I viewed them the next day on my computer. There was not a cloud in the sky that night/morning and zero light pollution on that part of the cape so I think I may have inadvertently captured some other heavenly astro phenomenon in the process. I lit up the ocean with my ridiculously bright diving torch while running up the beach during the foreground exposure in an attempt to give the shot some more interest other than just the sky. Still chipping the icicles off my balls but pretty bloody happy getting a good shot of our most incredible dark sky down here!"

There are so many ways in which you can help. I love being an animal rehabilitation and when you have the success of a wild animal being released back into nature, nothing is more rewarding. So any contribution of you...r time, membership or coin to any of the many projects out there...is MASSIVE. Australia is home to more than 500,000 animal and plant species, many of which are found nowhere else in the world. It is crazy - over the last 200 years, more than 100 animal and plant species have become extinct. We humans need to do more. Not only because they are such good friends and provided so much creative input. But because they listened to my advice on all that I have learnt through doing handfastings in the past. . A little bit of winging it + lots of preparation = voila! It was very cheeky and loving. When Janelle ...and Darcy pulled their threads they created a tight and deliberate knot. What a delicious feeling ran through me to see my friends laughing and enjoying this simple act...finally marrying . To be honest, rituals like this can be really cheeeeeeesy. They need to be performed well. I see little point in doing them UNLESS absolutely EVERY aspect has some form of significance and love - from the type/number/colour of threads that are used. The words that accompany are hollow without personalising and meaningless unless they are said to one another or read from myself with conviction and belief. Never ever go online and copy and paste some dribble that someone else has written is my advice. Sure, use it for inspiration. 05.01.2022 Lubing up before a hot, sexy, unique ceremony! Say whhhhat??? From the very first minute, James and Mandys wedding was a celebration and PARTY. It was the perfect mix of "significant" and "meaningful" and "fantastically wild" and "cruisy". They knew exactly the sort of wedding they wanted and kept focused in working hard towards achieving it! It was informal from outset but, do not underestimate, everything was meticulously planned. Cocoa ceremony, live entertainment, heart...-felt readings a day vow exchange, even skinny dipping! Fuck YES. To dare to be different...and let loose...and have fun no matter what...and do what you reeeeally want to do...is not always easy. I am even learning this amd can be worry wart. But when it DOES happen, and the energy amongst everyone at the ceremony is vibrant and loving too, its 100% appreciated and authentic. It is as if there is electricity and connectivity between individuals that are on a next level. It is also refreshing when judgement and conservatism do not prevail or stifle creativity (because unfortunately, without people meaning to for this to happen, it slowly creeps in and can suck the life out of the original "dream" wedding that was initially imagined or hoped for). Each and every person attending felt they played special role in the day and contributed in some way. And this was the plan. A SUCCESSFUL PLAN. I was blown away by how such a large, solid, quirky group of FRIENDS on this occasion bandied to make it amazing. I instantly felt any pressure peel away the moment I arrived. WELCOME. Part of the FAMILY. Member of the TRIBE Supporting and encouraging people to JUST BE themselves, express themselves, and rejoice through ceremony, love, acceptance and friendship...THIS IS THE CULTURE that I feel we should RESPECT & ASPIRE to. James and Mandy you taught me a lot and I look forward to writing more about the other WONDERFUL facets you incorporated! But for now, it is to say "CHEERS!!!!" 04.01.2022 Charlie Victor 19 (aptly named because this bobtail came into our care duribg Covid19 lockdown) has grown and is doing well! This footage was captured when feeding via syringe and the 1st day that Charlie showed an interest in licking the food offered and taking it voluntarily instead . Strawberries, banana, mealworms and snails are all favourites It is worth creating a "Lizard Lounge" (as seen on Gardening Australia - a brilliant SBS show!). We are going to make Charlie's ...a comfortable but classy arrangement, and calling it "The Reptile Retreat". Reptiles are cool. I love bobtails and this one so much. They are amazing in so many ways but what I find most intriquing is their life can span for more than 80 years (when not run over by us humans!) and, amazingly, they're truly monogomous creatures. 02.01.2022 So many times in the past, I was labelled selfish or shallow. Told I'd change my mind", "did'nt know what life was truly about" or asked "but what will you do!?". Well I hold my head high and feel like I can fly. It took time though. And being older, wiser, less prone to being riled up with pressure and inappropriate questions, helps. . I am childless ... a choice made practically despite being in a stable relationship. I am lucky to have: choice, education and a loving husba...nd. . The subject is still very taboo and can isolate people whether the decision was theirs or not. . One year ago I created a networking group down south called " celebrating the childfree life" and it has a growing support base. . Please encourage others to join ... it may be a passing conversation with someone new to town or an idea that follows a deep and meaningful conversation where sensitive issues arise. . FACT: There is a growing number of people who are child free! . This group does not care whether you've got kids or not ... or even if you're based in Margaret River specifically (welcome visitors!!!). It provides reprieve to those who either don't have them, couldn't have them, love them but sometimes wish they didn't have them .... it may be a simple case of "it's complicated", "just need a break", "I'm keen to chat about stuff other than kids", "just really wish I could meet other people who 'get' it" etc. . Aaaaaaaaand you can pretty much do what you want to. Where there is a will there's a way and outside of being legally compliant and following guidance, you can be as creative, inventive, kooky, budget, overboard, risky, sexy and as different as you like. Thank you Ashleigh for scaring the bejesus out of me for being so fucking cool. Too both managed to create an unforgettable experience that was so unique and edgy...but traditional and so moving still. To achieve this (and not even having the ability to meet me in the flesh til the day) took courage, persistence, organisation and FAITH. YOU MADE ME LOOK at Halloween with a big soft gooey Cadbury heart. Were willing to share the depths of your soul in helping me understand what makes you tick, what makes your story BEST of all, you trusted all those people who worked hard to make it special for you. This approach enabled us to excel. It makes every single effort that goes into it feel valued. I hope some other poor fucker (he he) out there reads this and considers being my next victim. I certainly take great pleasure in putting them through the process I do and forcing them to ... err ... just be themselves and have fun! With a bit of hard work in the lead up ha ha but ALL WORTH IT.

01.01.2022 Lubing up before a hot, sexy, unique ceremony! Say whhhhat??? From the very first minute, Jame's and Mandy's wedding was a celebration and PARTY. It was the perfect mix of "significant" and "meaningful" and "fantastically wild" and "cruisy". They knew exactly the sort of wedding they wanted and kept focused in working hard towards achieving it! It was informal from outset but, do not underestimate, everything was meticulously planned. Cocoa ceremony, live entertainment, heart...-felt readings a day vow exchange, even skinny dipping! Fuck YES. To dare to be different...and let loose...and have fun no matter what...and do what you reeeeally want to do...is not always easy. I am even learning this amd can be worry wart. But when it DOES happen, and the energy amongst everyone at the ceremony is vibrant and loving too, it's 100% appreciated and authentic. It is as if there is electricity and connectivity between individuals that are on a next level. It is also refreshing when judgement and conservatism do not prevail or stifle creativity (because unfortunately, without people meaning to for this to happen, it slowly creeps in and can suck the life out of the original "dream" wedding that was initially imagined or hoped for). Each and every person attending felt they played special role in the day and contributed in some way. And this was the plan. A SUCCESSFUL PLAN. I was blown away by how such a large, solid, quirky group of FRIENDS on this occasion bandied to make it amazing. I instantly felt any pressure peel away the moment I arrived. WELCOME. Part of the FAMILY. Member of the TRIBE Supporting and encouraging people to JUST BE themselves, express themselves, and rejoice through ceremony, love, acceptance and friendship...THIS IS THE CULTURE that I feel we should RESPECT & ASPIRE to. James and Mandy you taught me a lot and I look forward to writing more about the other WONDERFUL facets you incorporated! But for now, it is to say "CHEERS!!!!" Letting loose (respectfully) need not cost anyone or tarnish TRADITION, VALUES or overall PROFESSIONALISM. They're all PART & PARCEL of the SAME GOAL to have an unforgettably AWESOME TIME! 01.01.2022 It was Simply Irresistible not to fall in love with Kaz and Taz! Over dinner at Burger baby and brunches, plus a whole lot of prep planning got underway. It was incredibly exciting to know that TOBY was involved in the proposal but then also performing on the wedding day. The ceremony could not have been more perfect, with dolphins playing in the distance even, however what I loved to the most was just how crazy cruisy these sexy brides were. Even though it's not the best quality I whipped up this little video of snippets taken on the day!
