24.01.2022 Slightly humbled by all the very pimped up overnight soaked oats to be found on socials. You can go full bore or be like me & make quite ok looking efforts or occasionally really ugly ones. All good. Follow some basics & you will layer up a storm.

15.01.2022 Time to change up my breakfast my own invention! Oats soaked in water overnight then egg added in the morning. Topping for my pancake is cottage cheese & choc protein powder. Ate all the berries last night so chucked a banana on top & maple syrup & cinnamon. Bucket load of protein which will keep me full Berries would have been nice though.

15.01.2022 Made it myself! 1 egg 2 bananas 4 carrots grated 1/2 cup full fat yoghurt 1/3 cup maple syrup 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/4 cup gluten free flour (I used almond meal) 3/4 cup oats 1 teaspoon baking powder. Literally chuck it all in a processor & then bake for approximately 1 hour. Will slice up & have with a dollop of yogurt & some berries.

08.01.2022 Take time for yourself to just sit. It eases your anxious mind. Today I watched seagulls for 5 minutes, jeez they’re funny little fuckers! There’s always that one that got too close to something that took one of its legs off. Hopping about. One legged bugger hopping around, hustling then it flew off gracious as you like. Circling the water before it swoops down. Random thought. Do they ever lose both legs? What happens then?

I even wiped clean the side of the bowl for this pic For those of you vaguely interested. 30 g oats soaked in water overnight then add a banana & mush it up dollop of chobani yogurt, go the whole milk I say just tastes better, dollop of Bulla cottage cheese (any other is just foul) mix in a scoop of Evolve choc protein powder ( this is da bomb - some protein powders are so vile and should only be used to compost your garden) guve that all a good stir up & sprinkle on some nuts, you have to have a bit of crunch in your food otherwise you might as well check yourself into a nursing home. Don’t even get me started on the slop they feed our beloved elderly in homes. So get it into you

07.01.2022 A days nutrition making sure I don’t skip meals. Dinner looks butt ugly I know but man it was good. Kinda Mexican on a mozza of cauliflower rice. If you need volume in your diet and I do then don’t knock the cauliflower rice. Pimped up the family meal by rolling their Mexican mix in wraps & adding sauce & cheese & sour cream & cooking in oven. Everyone winning.

03.01.2022 Found a good groove on my little Christmas break. Up till 1 am, you know me nothing wild I’m the original home girl. Up at 9 am!!! FFS how good is that!!! Solid 8 hours my friends. Zipped around finding shit to chuck. Liberated now kicking back. Happy in my own company, my own skin my own slightly broken body. It ‘s been a year that’s for sure. Grateful for life’s little gifts & of course George Michael at full bore. Sorely missed

03.01.2022 We are all so good at dieting. We can shed a shit load of weight in like 2 weeks! Inevitably the wheels come off because seriously who the fuck can survive on less than a 1000 calories a day. Then the internal dialogue & mindfuck talk begins... I’m shit... What’s wrong with me.... I’m a greedy twat...I fucking hate myself ....I have no willpower....Fuck it! Then the binge & the guilt & the nausea & shame & quiet realisation that this is how you will live your life in this constant battle. On & on it goes & has done since we were teenagers. This totally shit relationship with ourselves and the body we live in. Its so fucking sad. Eat the food and know what you’re eating. Be open to learning

01.01.2022 A days nosh I’m a historical skipper of food. Working hard to get nutrients into me. All this fasting shit is shit. What happened to eating regularly & filling up your belly. Learning if you’re hungry you are probably hungry for real food & enough of it. Learning it’s not advantageous to starve yourself, because guess what you will binge the house down & trough the arse out of your kid’s snack drawer! I know this to be true.

01.01.2022 Find your groove, we don’t have to be chefs. I try to vary lunches & dinners but the rest I pretty much keep the same. If I don’t get a serious hit of protein at each meal it’s all over red rover for me. Same with the volume of food I eat. I literally need lots on my plate or I will eat your leg.
