25.01.2022 {HOMESCHOOLING} How many other mum's dad's and fabulous carers are bravely navigating the realm of home schooling this week? I don't think things will be as cool, calm and collected next week when this mum takes over

23.01.2022 {12 weeks later} Can you believe that 12 weeks was all it took to plan this knock out day! When everyone else was cancelling their plans and making urgent changes, this pair were cool as cucumbers just doing their thing. After getting engaged just 12 weeks ago (after 1 million 7 hundred years together - well it seemed like that long ) Kirstie and Ricky weren't waiting any longer. With their nearest and dearest by their side they finally said their 'I do's'. Congratulations again to this fabulous Mr and Mrs, wishing you a lifetime of happiness

21.01.2022 {THEM FEELS} We are all feeling a bit like Hannah at the moment, especially those of us who are parents and have just leveled up to teacher But there is a light at the end of the tunnel and I can not wait to be watching all of my amazing clients saying their 'I do's' again soon! In the mean time, with no sessions or weddings going ahead my poor family will have to deal with my boredom stay tuned for reluctant models

20.01.2022 Please be kind to our local small businesses during these hard times.

19.01.2022 {SUMMER LOVIN'} Now I dont usually photograph summer weddings for a couple of reasons; its hot, its really hot, and the sun sets later - which makes it hot for longer! So its safe to say that I'm not a giant fan of the heat, but when Michael & Amy asked me to capture their special day I just had to say yes, I have a bit of a soft spot for repeat clients. And thank goodness I did because WOW. I couldn't have asked for a more adorably in love, blissfully happy couple to share ...the afternoon with. No direction required for this pair, they made my job a breeze. Not to mention their absolutely stunning (fully air conditioned ) ceremony that was full of heartfelt words and raw emotion. Its weddings like these that really give me the feels and remind me why I love what I do. Hardly a sneak peek, more of a full show, but I just couldn't choose! You will be seeing more of this beautiful day before the month is out

18.01.2022 {LOVE IS IN THE AIR} And so was almost everything else! What a day to be married on the headland. You wouldn't think it from the photos but the wind gusts on Saturday were topping 65km/h!!! Now I wont like, Im a bit of a sucker for a cute pooch so we had some sneaky pats here and there, but her mum and dad defiantly stole the show, and I think she was pretty chuffed when it was all said and done. Congratulations again guys, I hope you had a magical evening!

17.01.2022 {STUDIO CLOSURE} **THIS CLOSURE WILL AFFECT FUTURE STUDIO BOOKINGS ONLY. LOCATION SESSIONS, WEDDINGS AND LIFESTYLE SESSIONS WILL BE UNAFFECTED** Over the past few days the studio team and I have been in discussions about what measures we need to be taking with the recent Corona hysteria. As I am sure we are all aware from the health authorities there is no imminent threat to those of us who are fit and well (which is great!), however there is a risk to a small percent of peop...le with preexisting conditions and the elderly - I'm not going to get into the medical side of things, at the end of the day I'm a photographer not a doctor. So what does this mean for Wildheart Imagery? Well for me (Michelle, owner and primary photographer of Wildheart) not much, my family and I have no real risk factors and we will take things as they come, I will continue to take on location and wedding photography bookings as per normal. HOWEVER, we are not the only people that utilize our STUDIO space, we have a team that utilize this space for a number of other things, with studio portraits making up only a small portion. Unfortunately, a small number of our team and their family members DO fall into this high risk category. As studio portraiture is only a small portion of what occurs in our studio space we have made the difficult decision to suspend all future studio portrait bookings until further notice. This will allow our team to continue to work and earn an income with the least risk. This studio closure will NOT affect any location sessions, weddings, meetings ect, this will ONLY affect people coming into our small, air-conditioned studio space. All commercial studio work and product studio work will be unaffected. As I have said this decision has not come lightly, however the health and welling of our team is our top priority and holding 1-2 hour long portrait session in a cozy, air-conditioned studio is simply creating an unnecessary heightened risk for our compromised staff that use this space and our clients. So quick recap - Future portrait STUDIO session bookings are suspended indefinitely, ALL OTHER SESSIONS NOT HELD IN THE STUDIO SPACE WILL NOT BE IMPACTED. WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES ARE NOT IMPACTED. None of our staff are currently ill, this is simply a precaution to reduce exposure to those most venerable. We appreciate your understanding during this time and if you have any concerns or questions regarding current or future bookings please do not hesitate to let me know. If you have recently made an inquire for a studio portrait or boudoir session but have not yet booked a date (and would like to go ahead with a booking) please contact me and I will discuss options with you. PS: I have an inbox full of message which I will be replying to early next week - apologies for the delay! - Michelle

16.01.2022 Talk about family goals! 8!!! 8 members of the family, and somehow everyone was totally chilled! I can't wait to share some of the adorable moments we captured at yesterday's beach session

15.01.2022 {WINTER WONDERLAND} I don't usually get time to squeeze in weekend family sessions in the winter months as I am usually booked solid with weddings so this was something a little special for me. And what a way to spoil me, arnt these guys just adorable!! I had the absolute best time finding sticks, finding cool painted rocks and taking photos of some pretty epic rock jumping adventures. And mum said her boys were shy ;)

15.01.2022 {2020 WEDDINGS} 2020 is shaping up to be another big year and I have already booked out a number of the popular months for wedding photography, so if you are planning to tie the knot in 2020 be sure to secure your bookings soon or you may miss out on your favorite vendors!! APRIL - BOOKED OUT MAY - BOOKED OUT JUNE - BOOKED OUT... JULY - BOOKED OUT AUGUST - BOOKED OUT SEPTEMBER - BOOKED OUT *Please note that wedding photography dates are NOT secure until a signed contract and retainer fee have been received - a date inquire/consult does not secure your booking unless specifically agreed upon in writing.*

14.01.2022 {LOVE CONQUERS ALL} There are so many things I could say about this wedding, so many things that didn't go to plan, so many last minute Covid changes, so many hurdles to overcome. But when Chantelle walked down that isle and Ben laid his eyes on her it all just seemed to melt away into a distant memory. With perfect weather and some seriously well timed leaf showers from the overhanging trees you would have thought it was all part of the plan. What a beautiful weekend to become husband and wife!

14.01.2022 {FAMILY} At this time of the year it really hits home the importance of family - and not just the family you are blessed with at birth but the family you choose.throughout your life. It is also a time of the year when many of us think about the ones we have lost. And one person who always springs to my mind when I am struggling with feelings of loss is Anja. She is one of those souls that seems to heal those around her, sometimes with her words and other with her art (Check o...ut Immeryours Keepsake Jewellery & Art) - her and her family are the type of people that are just a total joy to be around, not because they have the picture perfect house on the hill and two dogs, but because they are raw, real, beautiful people. Even looking back on their session brings back those feelings of calm and happiness. This week has been a particularly hard week for me on a personal level, with some sudden and unexpected news. I apologize to everyone for the late replies and unanswered calls. I will endeavor to get back to everyone this week (especially those with sessions over the busy festive weeks to come). As expected I will be taking time off with my family over the Christmas break and will not be tending to new inquiries during this time - all current clients inquiries will be tended to in a timely manner. I appreciate everyone's patience over this festive period and am looking forward to capturing many more of your memories in the new year! Have a safe and fabulous festive season!! - Michelle x

11.01.2022 {GOODBYE 2019} Yesterday I photographed my last wedding of 2019, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Beautiful cool sea breeze, super relaxed bridal party and a loved up bride and groom - it dosent get much better than that in wedding photographer land!

11.01.2022 {OCTOBER LOVE} Usually its around October when it starts to heat up here in North QLD and the days start to get a little bit longer. But not this year, Trish & Matt could not have picked a more perfect weekend to be married! A beautiful cool afternoon breeze came through The Farm Plumeria Road while they said their "I Do's" alongside their nearest and dearest, with the most perfect sunset to top it all off. What a great way to start October!

10.01.2022 {FAMILY} I can never say enough how much I love watching my repeat clients grow over the years! It seems like just yesterday I was photography this beautiful couples wedding day (you may remember a super cute shot of Mr Archie watching them on the boardwalk), then meeting their beautiful little Miss when she was all snugly and new. Now a few months on she has gone from a sleepy little newborn to a super attentive little lady, interested in the ever changing world around her - shes going to be a deep thinker, I can just feel it! Mr Archie on the other hand, well he is just his same happy little self, but Im not sure how impressed he is with no longer being an only child - sorry mate you'll just have to get used to this one ;)

10.01.2022 {MAY TO JUNE WEDDINGS} There is some really great info here for all of the concerned brides out there who may now be looking at postponing their big day. My heart goes out to you all during this time and I am here to help in any way possible. As it stands- and I have already discussed this with a few brides - I will not be enforcing ANY fees for postponing weddings planned between now and June (this may be extended) and I will do my absolute best to accommodate your new date ...- a great note from Hello May is to have a selection of dates to choose from, give this list of dates to your must have vendors and see if there is one or two dates that they are ALL available for - seriously read the article, it's good stuff. One thing I might add though - if you have elderly or international relatives who might not be able to make it due to health concerns or flight restrictions, think about skyping them in. I have photographed many many weddings with Skype guests for a variety or reasons and it's always amazing! On a final quick note - From all your local vendors - please, if you can - postpone don't cancel, we will all need one hell of a party when it's over and we are happy to work with you every step along the way https://hellomay.com.au//coronavirus-what-does-covid-19-m/

10.01.2022 {UPDATE FOR WEDDINGS} With the most recent update from Scomo I can not imagine the stress that all of our couples are feeling now having been told your wedding must consist of only 2 witnesses or be postponed. How long will this be in effect, how long before your international family can enter the country??? I wish I knew. As I have stated a few times over the past week - any couples who have current 2020 booking and have made the difficult decision to postpone, you will not ...be charged any change of date fees, you will be taken care of, please do not stress about unexpected additional costs. However I ask that you contact me ASAP with your requested new dates. A lot of late 2020 dates are already fully booked so please have a back up date. If you are still processing what has happened and have not yet come up with a game plan that's OK too, when you do, simply touch base. But please bear in mind that there are many other couples in the same position and I can only be in one place at a time so please ensure you have a back up date. I will be keeping booked packages and pricing the same, so postponed bookings will not be subject to any price increases. All monies already paid including deposits and payment plans will be transferred to your new agreed date. I am currently very blessed and have not yet opened 2021 bookings - which means I have a huge amount of availability for next year and existing couples will have first dibs at these dates. Finally - cancellations and refunds. If you choose to cancel your event our terms and conditions will be applied, that no refund of any monies paid can be refunded. Almost all local vendors are in the same boat on these topics, as small businesses we are really feeling this hard, an entire wedding season of income in limbo. This week has been emotionally exhausting for all of us, so please be patient while I work through each couples circumstances. At the end of the day I want a magic day for you all, whether you go ahead with 2 guests or postpone with 200, I will be here for you. As a tight knit group of wedding vendors here in Townsville we will all do our best to work together to try to get your wedding plans back on track. If you have ANY questions, concerns or just want to chat about options please be sure to contact me. I have an influx of emails this evening that I will be tending to tomorrow so please be patient as I work through everyone We will get through this x

09.01.2022 {WEDDING VENDORS} With weddings cancelled left right and center over the past few months we (us wedding vendors) have all been left standing around wondering what to do with ourselves. Well luckily for me, and some of my favorite vendors/friends/colleagues there was one wedding that wasn't moving an inch! Last weekend my partner Chris and I said our 'I do's' in an intimate little (socially distanced) wedding. Whilst we did have to make a few tweaks to our plans, with our smal...l guest list opting to zoom in and our celebratory dinner postponed, it was a perfect day all round. It has been so rough on our industry over the last few months, and will continue to be for some time yet so I thought it was a fitting time to promote some of incredible local wedding vendors. So without further ado a HUGE shout out to the amazing group of wedding vendors that helped ensure our day went ahead; Photography by PBH studio - Haylie is my backup photographer for all things weddings and my second shooter for those big events, I wouldnt have trusted anyone else with this special task! Video by Moments Media - Mark not only created a fabulous keepsake video to share with our family but he also dealt with me throwing phones at him for zoom links (Mark is very tolerant) Celebrant - Lynda Ross Marriage Celebrant - Lynda has always been one of my favorite celebrants, she is down to earth and fits in perfectly with my colourful sense of humor while still being totally professional - now thats a feat! Picnic/Dream dinner - Dreamscene Events - Sarah from Dreamscene is one of a kind. We had originally asked her to throw us a stunning dream dinner for our nearest and dearest but unfortunately with restaurants closed we had to postpone. But never fear, Sarah to the rescue! She set up the most beautiful little dream picnic for us to enjoy. If your looking for a stunning Dream Dinner for 2 or 10 be sure to get in quick because she is booking out FAST now that restrictions are being lifted!!! Flowers - Townsville Flower Market - The girls at the Townsville Flower Market, with energy low from the Mothers Day weekend and very little stock, managed to rustle up a stunning bunch of flowers for me (on super short notice - sorry about that guys haha). Over a week on and they are still making my house smell amazing! There were many other amazing people that helped out but for now I will just stick to the wedding vendors - who all deserve a like, follow and share of their pages. And if you are planning a 2021 wedding be sure to check them all out - everyone is booking up fast though so get in quick! P.S: I will be getting back to emails and messages on Tuesday as I will be taking Monday off (this mum needs a break - but YAY school is going back!!!!!!!!!!!)

09.01.2022 2021 WEDDING BOOKINGS CLOSED TO NEW CLIENTS What a year! This year has certainly taken its toll on the wedding industry and as a result of many couples needing to reschedule I have needed to close off taking any NEW 2021 weddings bookings at this time. All existing clients yet to decide on new dates will be 100% accommodated, I will simply not be taking on NEW wedding bookings at this time. Have a fabulous weekend all!!

05.01.2022 Its been a long week. A very long week and for so many people. I will be taking a mental health weekend starting immediately. I know that there are alot of stressed couples out there that will be messaging over the weekend and please know that I will get back to you all over Monday and Tuesday next week. But for now I think we could all use some down time. Stay safe, have a wine and take a deep breath. We got this

03.01.2022 Its valentines day tomorrow so what better way to celebrate the day of love than delivering this beautiful couple their wedding gallery (yes thats right guys keep an eye out in your emails later ;) ) I just adored this wedding, everything about it was just felt effortless, happy and fun - and you can see it in the images. If I had to give soon to be brides one piece of advise it would be CHILL, the best photos (and experiences) come from happy brides. Late to the ceremony - d...ont stress people will wait, makeup on your dress - dont sweat it, no one will notice and your fabulous photographer will photoshop it out of your images ;) , flowers dont turn up - oh well, duck down to woolies and grab one of those stunning Aussie bunches instead. All of these things and many more just happen sometimes, but if you chuck on a smile and remember what the day is all about the little things will just melt away. So on that note a big Happy Valentines day to all for tomorrow and pre congratulations to all the soon to be engaged couples ;)
