24.01.2022 Incredible work happening by the Koala Clancy Foundation Their team of Melbourne-based volunteers planted over 2,000 native trees on Raymond Island last month to support the local koala and wildlife population. This is the first of many tree planting weekends organised by the foundation, see their website to get involved with upcoming events www.koalaclancyfoundation.org.au

20.01.2022 What am I? I am a native Australian marsupial. I am only found in far north Queensland. I hop. Unlike most of my species I live in the trees. What am I with the initials L T-K?

13.01.2022 Did you know all marsupial babies are called joeys? For example, babies of kangaroos, quokkas, wombats, koalas and more are all termed as joeys.

10.01.2022 Monday morning flex you got this!

08.01.2022 Did you know that koala joeys that are the size of a pineapple or smaller should be always with their mothers? They may be separated from their mothers for a variety of reasons. Joeys rely on warmth from their mothers and can become hypothermic very quickly. If you see a joey alone on the ground pick it up gently, wrap it in a towel and keep it warm until it can be safely transported to a wildlife hospital or a koala rehabilitation facility.

04.01.2022 Vets and vet nurses play such an important role in caring for our native wildlife. #WildlifeFriendlyVets is the newest campaign from the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife as part of the #WildlifeHeroes project. The project aims to raise awareness of the important work done by vets who treat native wildlife, as well as providing them with training and resources to support the wonderful work that they do. To find out more or nominate a #WildlifeFriendlyVet that you think could benefit from this campaign, click here: https://wildlifeheroes.org.au/wildlife-friendly-vets
