13.01.2022 Our beloved spotted-tailed quoll (southern subspecies OR southeastern mainland population) (Dasyurus maculatus maculatus) has been upgraded from Vulnerable to E...ndangered under the Nature Conservation Act 1992 (NCA). The spotted-tailed quoll was listed as Vulnerable in Queensland under the NCA 1992 but as Endangered nationally under the EPBC Act 1999. On 30 April 2021, the Queensland status changed from Vulnerable to Endangered so the categories are aligned with international standards. Want more 'quoll-ity' information? In the Autumn 2021 edition of Wildlife Australia Magazine - WAM, we present some recent updates on quoll research and projects in the first of a two-part feature report. Have you got your copy? 03.01.2022 Now more than ever, our wildlife needs your love, and Wildlife Queensland needs your help! As 30 June approaches, please consider a tax-deductible gift that wi...ll go towards the ongoing conservation of Queensland’s threatened species. Your support will help us to continue: campaigning on important issues to better protect and conserve our native wildlife and vital habitats, including the need for stronger environmental laws, fighting the exploitation and commercialisation of national parks, and a ban on opera house traps. conservation projects focused on restoring vital wildlife habitat and surveying and monitoring of conservation-significant species in SEQ, including ongoing planting of birdwing butterfly vines and building wildlife corridors, eDNA platypus surveys, nest box installation and monitoring for vulnerable greater gliders, camera monitoring and detection dog surveys to search for nationally endangered spotted-tailed and northern quolls. https://chuffed.org/pro/wildlife-queensland-eofy2021-appeal #LoveWildlife #EOFY2021 #wildlifeconservation #threatenedspecies
