24.01.2022 Hervey Bay residents & visitors , there has been a Pelican sighted in the vicinity of the Urangan Marina / Harbour with a fish hook in its beak, & fishing line around one wing. It was originally seen inside the marina near the Ship Lifts on Monday 21/09. It is unknown if he or she can fly or not, so it's possible it may turn up in other locations around the Fraser Coast. ... If seen, please don't try to catch it - call Wildlife Rescue Fraser Coast asap. Thank you!
