22.01.2022 This Murano glass parrot was actually bought direct from the factory in Murano - Venice by the wonderful person who donated it to our shop. We had $150 on this perfect piece but have now reduced the price with our end of financial year sale to $80 ! 18.01.2022 Good evening everyone. Unfortunately I have been witness to an horrific boat / bird injury/fatality today. I know it’s a busy weekend with the Vogaolonga boat festival in GOOLWA but please please - take care when near our wildlife on the water and everywhere else ! 16.01.2022 Firstly - on a sad note we have a customer who continually swaps prices on our ‘expensive’ ( which usually isn’t expensive by the way!) she has caught our poor volunteers out on a number of occasions and it really makes our volunteers upset and extremely annoyed. We have now identified that person and are taking measures to ensure this doesn’t happen again. As you are all aware - we raise our money to help our wildlife - and every $1 helps and goes a long way. So please keep supporting us ! On a positive note - we are drawing our raffle this weekend - kindly donated by GOOLWA Gourmet Baskets (Fenchurch Street, GOOLWA) so rush in quick !! Red wine, chocs and biscuits. Yum ! Also we look forward to receiving donations to our shop as our shelves are becoming ‘vacant’ . Just bring it in and we will sell it !! Thank you all So much

08.01.2022 Please do not drop off old dirty bedding and clothes ! We do not sell these. Unfortunately our bin is now full ! And we will probably end up with dump fees. The shop was open when these items were discreetly ‘donated’

07.01.2022 Evening all. We’ve just got our little donation tins ready for distribution to local businesses. As you know ‘it’s raining birds ! Especially babies ‘ so we are run off our feet . If any local businesses are happy to put our tin on their ‘front desk’ we would be grateful. Thank you all

06.01.2022 It is with sadness that we again have to close our shop ! We only wish someone would tell the wildlife that need rescuing to hold off for 6 days - but we don’t do that. The team is still working 24/7 for rescues - so don’t worry ! We all need to keep safe and stick to the rules. When we re-open come and see our new exciting Christmas Room ! Especially if we care about our wildlife and our wonderful locals and volunteers !! Anyway - apart from patting ourselves on the back - let’s keep on doing what we do - ‘come down to our place’ !! We’ve had so many amazing donations / gifts to our shop - we need to pass on to good homes. So ! ‘come down to our place’ and ‘Upcycle:recycle ‘ and make the world a better place ! for you and I’ !

02.01.2022 Just to say ‘thanks’ to people supporting our little shop - which as you all know raises money to rescue/rehabilitate/ and hopefully release our wonderful wildlife back to where they belong. Our shop runs through donations from very generous and thoughtful people who believe in our cause, but unfortunately some people who come into our shop don’t really care about that - we are talking about people who come in to steal, swap prices, labels and harass our poor volunteers say...ing they gave them a $20 note and not a $10 dollar note. We don’t like this but our volunteers become so upset when they realise they were at the sale point and should have realised and feel guilty and then offer to put the difference from their own pocket ! Our volunteers are important to us and today we have taken steps to stop this once and for all. Please everyone respect our new rules at the shop. We are just trying to support our very valuable volunteers and keep 100% of our funds going towards our precious wildlife. Thank you See more

Our little Fundraising shop has been a bit quiet this week BUT we know our supporters are still out there SO - if you can’t get to the shop SCAN our QR code besides me ( I’m the fluffy one !) and donate It’s as easy as that !
