25.01.2022 Keep showing up even when its a bit wobbly

25.01.2022 Well done Brisbane!!! We did it. We locked down. We locked in. We rested. ... We gardened. We read. We stayed indoors to protect ourselves. We stayed inside to protect our vulnerable ones. We practised communal care by isolating ourselves from the hustle and busyness of normal life. And remembering It has been a different journey for every person. For some it was gentle. For some it was an upheaval. For some it was raw. For some it was simple. Let’s practice Ahimsa (Sanskrit word for non violence)and withhold judgement of another’s experience. And let’s go gently out onto the paths we regularly travel. Let’s wear our masks without complaint. In fact let’s wear them with pride even. Let us go gently together

Expect a blissful outdoor yoga class and an opportunity to take your yoga practice onto a Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Board... all whilst on the still, flat, knee deep water of the lake. Expect to enjoy the spoils of the on-site boutique brewery and gourmet restaurant. Expect warm welcoming company, laughter, connection and adventure. Expect to finish the weekend feeling truly spent, elated and whole heartedly alive! Cost $450 with all meals included except an evening meal and drinks self purchase at the restaurant.

21.01.2022 So what more could you want... in the middle of lock down... than a short movie about Jason Mamoa talking about local Gold Coast SUP Boards and family Your welcome

20.01.2022 Read that again!!

19.01.2022 **URGENT LONG DISTANCE GOOD VIBES SUPPORT NEEDED** Our regular Zoomie student ENCANTA lives in California and is in the throws of practising calm while preparing to evacuate as wild fires rage to the north and south of her urban property. Although the call has yet to be made to evacuate she has wisely put the horse float on her car, prepared her cat boxes and packed an overnight bag... just in case. ... Now its time for her to practise calm and utilise all those deep breathing exercises to keep her feet on the ground as the sun sets for the evening. So... how can we help?? Lets all take a moment out of our day to withdraw from our normal activities and stop to focus on our deep belly breathing to press our awareness into the present moment (and out of chest driven fight and flight) and then send her a bubble of calm and peace through her night. And may the sun rise to clearer skies and rain clouds Ps... yes that is a chunk of charcoal that fluttered down from the sky in her hand

19.01.2022 Whats your favourite way to slow it down and rest up?

18.01.2022 BIG TIME perspective changer

18.01.2022 So breath and let go

17.01.2022 The power of yoga to transform someone into deep relaxation always amazes me... I just took a team of 9 people in their lunch hour through a flowing vinyasa style class (so lots of breathing with movement) under a big beautiful tree right next to a train line... there were noisy cars, trucks, motorbikes, trains, planes and then a chainsaw started up across the road... and still my students rested so deeply they didnt want to get up after Shavasana Thank you yogis for your collective and accumulative teaching of this beautiful and life changing modality I am so humbled to be a yoga teacher

17.01.2022 This Sunday mornings SUP Yoga was as blissful as to be expected. On the boards we had dedicated regular Stand Up Paddle Board Yogis... as well as first time newbies to The board... yet all these beautiful ladies each challenged themselves entirely while at the same time nurturing a deeper sense of connection to the waterways environment and also to themselves. The take up from Shavasana was a very slow due to an over blissed experience so we all just drifted part of the way... home... the breeze edging us along collectively. Namaste

12.01.2022 Something special happens out there on The Glassy Studio and it’s not just the individual accomplishments, nor the yoga poses themselves, the laughter, the support, the camaraderie... although that all adds to the magic of SUP Yoga... it’s the connection. The connection with self, with others, with the environment. Oh... and the Bliss

10.01.2022 Namaste my beautiful students

10.01.2022 Freshly reminded how empowering it is to step out of your comfort zone and challenge your limitations once in a while

09.01.2022 This time 3 years ago I was out paddling and drifting around on my SUP board on the beautiful still, deep waters of The Enoggera Reservoir and I decided to switch things up a little and experiment with a couple of yoga moves on my board (to be honest I was a novice at paddling and I was gripping onto that board with my toes like my life depended on it and they were cramping ) And as I moved slowly and gently between some very basic yoga poses, I thought to myself hey this i...s hard... but it feels pretty good. So I did some more poses... and then quite a few more And then I thought to myself... I think I have just invented the next biggest thing... SUP YOGA!!!! So I sped home, googled SUP Yoga and found that it ALREADY IS then next big thing... and I agree So here I am now... the night before SUP Yoga starts back up in Spring and my boards are all booked out, class sequences planned in my head and car packed in preparation. Im so excited for what tomorrow will bring... leading newbies to doing yoga on a floating yoga mat for the first time and supporting regular SUP yoga appreciators back into their floating practice after a pretty tough year. And for me... my love of leading people closer to themselves thrives out there in The Reservoir... I will be the one with the grin from ear to ear

09.01.2022 Ready for some Post Lock Down Bliss??? Lockdown ends at 6pm tonight so our regular Monday night outdoor class can commence as usual at Wittonga Park at 6.30pm Please wear your masks upon arrival and we will adhere to social distancing so that we can take off our masks during the class.... See you there! Juliarna 0438 708 474

08.01.2022 So here it is... a photographic, chronological meander through the Wild Peacer’s view of 2020 A strong community was born through perseverance, goal setting, dedication, empathy, support and love. We walked, we talked, we opened up, we cried, we laughed, we ate, we drank and we were merry. Oh and of course we did do yoga too Enjoy the journey and see you next year x

07.01.2022 The magnificence that was this mornings SUP Yoga session on The Reservoir. The morning was beautifully still to begin with and our local White Chested Sea Eagle made a swooping entrance as we glided into the glassy studio. We moved our way through simple vinyasa style moves and breathwork, then worked our way through some twists and had a good look around while doing so.... Then up on to hands and knees for some leg extensions that required balance and co-ordination to move through... then bang smack into our kneeing Scorpion pose Some arm raising side bending lunges, some plank and 3 legged dog complete with Tiger crunches... an opportunity for a floating Warrior Pose... and then it was time to wind our way back down to some simple prone back bends and then everyone’s favourite Pigeon Pose... And then Shavasana And then stillness And then calm And then Bliss And then a swim and a paddle back to the beach!! The next class will be early morning on Sunday the 3rd of January and then a late afternoon/sunset one on Friday the 8th

05.01.2022 **MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT** Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) Yoga will be starting up again in mid September and running fortnightly through the warmer months on the beautiful still waters (well... most days) of The Enoggera Reservoir. Take your yoga practice out onto the water... Stay tuned for more information

05.01.2022 After a while you learn the subtle difference Between holding a hand and chaining a soul, And you learn that love doesn’t mean leaning And company doesn’t mean... security. And you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts And presents aren’t promises, And you begin to accept your defeats With your head up and your eyes open With the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child, And you learn to build all your roads on today Because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans And futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight. After a while, you learn That even sunshine burns if you get too much. So you plant your garden and decorate your own soul,* Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. And you learn that you really can endure That you really are strong And you really do have worth And you learn and learn With every good-bye you learn. Veronica Shoffstall With every good-bye, you learn. ell wood. Rowland Wheelwright - The bluebell wood.

04.01.2022 A big loving, proud shout-out to my regular yogi students who have allowed me to lead them on on their own yoga journey on their Mats, Chairs and SUP Boards in 2020. I am so proud of the unyielding progress you have made during this big badgering year that lies behind us. I have watched you work toward increased balance, building strength, easing gently toward flexibility and a deepening appreciation of Pranayama.... I am deeply honoured to be the person you choose to have at the front of your mat/chair/board and as I am winding up the last classes of the year I am already excited to start up where we left off in early 2021 Namaste

01.01.2022 We are back from our humongous Coastrek Walk and Green Mountain sure put on a divine show for us. We completed the Albert River Circuit which meandered through lichen covered Arctic Beech forests and saw a million mind blowing water falls. We had to scamper over slippery logs and moss covered rocks and balance precariously along steep, slippery pathways. We talked, laughed, sang, patched blisters and then we oohed and we arhhhed. We are Totally elated and totally stuffed
