14.01.2022 From the Founder: Only a few weeks after my beautiful son (Solaris) was born he developed dermatitis. As a super natural person, I searched high and low for advice on treating it naturally. There was a lot of conflicting information online, especially about natural alternatives (typical). Frightened and unsure, I researched medical treatments and ironically one of the side effects for the most common treatment was... *drumroll* dermatitis, skin redness and irritated skin ... So that was an obvious ‘no’ for me. Lavender is widely known for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. A study published in the Journal of Medical Microbiology found that lavender oil could be effective in combating antifungal-resistant infections. The researchers found that the oil was lethal to a range of strains that can cause disease in the skin. The study showed that Lavandula oil is potent and demonstrates antifungal activity on a wide spectrum. A study also published in the journal Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine compared the effects of several treatments for wound healing. The study authors noted that wounds closed faster in the TENS and lavender oil groups than the control groups. These findings suggest that lavender has an acceleratory effect on wound healing. The Lavender Facial Oil and Power Balm is a treatment I recommend to adults for treating their eczema. The lavender component is diluted to a point where it’s considered safe for children and adults with sensitive skin, so my opinion was that it couldn’t be worse for an infant than a medicated treatment full of chemicals. Slide 1 & 2 - Sol’s face the day I treated him with the facial oil. As you can see it was severely inflamed, and was even in his ear. Slide 3 - the next day after treatment. Slide 4 - 4 days after treatment. Slide 5 - 5 days after treatment. Slide 6 - just to confirm it was the Facial Oil and wasn’t coincidence, I treated 1 cheek only on day 3. This slide shows the difference. Slide 7 - an unedited photo of him recently showing perfect skin *always follow your own guidance and intuition when caring for your children*
