19.01.2022 Special Issue on: "Current concepts in orthobiologic solutions for osteoarthritis treatment" Journal of Regenerative Biology and Medicine, by KiSS designer and developer Craig J Hubbard. What I discovered in a 6 week 'dive' into the inner workings of the ankle JOINTS (yes 2), surprised myself, and it seems may enlighten surgeons and stem cell/orthobiologic designers; its primary purpose. There is also a bit of a reality check for the sports injury industry and how medicine, g...overnment and sporting regulators could be doing more to keep our children and employees (pro athletes inc) safer in the short and long term. It leaves a lot of new questions open so possibly a video series 'Talking Ankles' with the people who helped me to conceive it to start, on YouTube, at our KiSS channel? PS Only geeks read everything, so don't be afraid to skip the geeky bits, you will still get the 'vibe'. Thanks to those who support the cause. Team effort !

13.01.2022 Wouldn't hurt to look at the static rate of ankle injuries and the reason why ankle tape is both the Major Sponsor of Physios, Trainers and Netball. There are Australian made safer alternatives, but when the Physios are prescribing, and have the most to gain from Injury and tape sales, don't expect a 'safe' workplace or safe Kids. Ankle sprains are entirely preventable except for commercial unethical interests in the injury and Netball administrators turning a blind eye, or simply not seeing it. Now this (in comments) is Ankle PPE !

Tape companies sponsor physios (the Association) and these guys are paid to sell you a form of PPE for your kids that only feeds physios with ankle sprains and tape sales. There is a 21C solution and it is Qld made. When will child & athlete safety come before sponsors interests? Demand better and you will get it. Disclosure?!

06.01.2022 If Lateral ankle sprains remain the most common injury in sport globally, and post-traumatic Ankle Osteoarthritis is unrecognised 'cumulative' trauma with growing prevalence and earlier onset, perhaps it deserves a section? When neither has 'standards' or 'management protocols' consistent with less costly/prevalent injuries like concussion and people accept '"ankle sprains are just part of sport" there is a $100b+ 'Injury Industry' unregulated with no incentive to change. H...ere, in comments, is an article/list of what is happening and what actions may address this 'pandemic of pain', and possibly a link to the CAUSE of PTAOA. Judging by their published "Role" perhaps a 'level playing field' is possible? "abuse of children and other persons in a sporting environment manipulation of sporting competitions failure to protect members of sporting organisations and other persons in a sporting environment"... With ankle sprains easily preventable and current methods = "The most common injury in sport" something needs to change, but who is making the 'safety decision' to mandate this on your kids in Australia? Certainly not an Independent body now and definitely not the athletes!
