23.01.2022 Budget Break Down - Total cost, economy, fuel, accomodation, repairs etc..... Here you have it guys, Tiffs done an awesome job of documenting all of our costs, kms, stops etc and thrown it all into a spread sheet that you guys can see to help you budget your own trip! Our spreadsheets are available for download through our web shop (for free of course!)... https://wildtouring.com.au/shop/ https://youtu.be/IzCwP4QgVsA

19.01.2022 Hey guys, we've just launched a Patreon page. I didn't want to post a video about it on YouTube because I'm not too keen on the hard sell, and I don't want to pester people about it Straight up, Patreon is not going to be for everyone. It's something that will go on in the background and won't affect us ever producing free content on YouTube as we have always done. Just by watching our videos you've been supporting the growth of the channel, and we are more thankful that yo...u'll ever know. If you don't know what Patreon is - its basically an online platform where you can pledge a monthly amount of money towards the channel in exchange for exclusive content. This will be in the form of Patreon only videos that consist of behind the scenes content like bloopers, footage that didn't make the final cut for YouTube, updates on what's going on with the channel and our family etc. These videos will be rough cuts that are less polished than what you're use to seeing (if that's possible haha). It will be a great place to interact with us, ask questions and give us input to tailor videos for you. The money will go directly back into the channel to help it grow, it will be spent on camera/audio equipment, fuel, maintenance/repairs and camping/touring gear. It may also mean in the future I'll be able to spend less time at work, and more time making and editing videos. If you've been thinking about buying some merch from our online shop, check out the tiers on Patreon, a couple of them include merch. www.patreon.com/wildtouring

16.01.2022 Duke of Orleans Bay Thomas River (Yokinup), Cape Arid National Park ‘The Duke’ - 85km east of Esperance. We almost decided not to bother backtracking out here after learning the WA-SA border was shut again, but with a few weeks of the trip up our sleeves still we thought we may as well check it out. So glad we did because this place is such a hidden gem! The beaches and endless 4wding along the beach we rated higher than anything we saw in Esperance, Bremer or Lucky Bay! An...d better yet, it was so quiet! Just how we like it After a few days here we moved on a little further east to Cape Arid National Park. Much of the park had been closed due to late rainfall and flooding in the area so we didn’t make it any further along to Israelite Bay but instead based ourselves at Yokinup (locally known at Thomas River). No luck on the fishing front, but once again the beaches are out of this world! Turquoise blue and bleach white sand with no one around for miles! #travelaustralia #travelaustraliawithkids #waisok #wanderoutyonder #thisiswa #justanotherdayinWA #offroadcaravan #dukeoforleansbay #capearidnationalpark @ Cape Arid National Park

16.01.2022 I'm very proud to announce a new and exciting partnership with Pedders Suspension & Brakes! I've been running a Pedders GVM+ upgrade for a number of years now, its seen some tough conditions and always performed exceptionally well This is great timing for the upcoming 'Dmax (re)Build Series'.... I'll definitely be sticking with the Pedders GVM+ lift kit as its proven itself time and time again. But with all the extra weight the Dmax carries and the extra power it makes over factory, its time to address the brakes. I've been eyeing off the Pedders brake upgrades for a long time now, so I'm really excited to have Pedders fit their Rear Drum to Disc Conversion Kit and Extreme Front Brake Kit! Plenty of photos and videos to come, so make sure you're following Wild Touring and Pedders Suspension & Brakes on Youtube, Facebook and Instagram so you don't miss a thing! https://fb.watch/3pLGme_P_W/

05.01.2022 And just like that, our 6 months on the road came to an end...for our last few nights on the road we based ourselves at Sids Campground, an awesome low cost private camp just out of Northcliffe. We spent a few nights here exploring the surrounding area before making our way to Cams parents for Xmas and then home to Perth. Our Big Lap of WA YouTube series will wrap up next Saturday but don’t worry, this isn’t the end! Cam has been pulling apart the Dmax and the rebuild YouTub...e series will start soon with a big focus on the new canopy and stripping weight so we can get that brand new dinghy we have sitting in the carport, up on the roof! We have a few trips up north planned this year and next, and as always we’ll take you along for the ride Cam might even start reeling in the big fish now.. if you aren’t already subscribed: www.youtube.com/wildtouring As you are all aware our big lap didn’t quite go to plan this year but we’ve had the absolute time of our lives! The memories we will treasure for a life time. Bring on 2025...Big Lap take 2 baby!
