21.01.2022 Just to fill everyone in we did drove around the fire ground yesterday and it was blacked out really well so the Halliford fire has now been closed and we can have a rest hopefully So that is just the first of many this fire season thank you to all the other brigades for your help we couldn't of done it without out brothers and sisters ox

12.01.2022 Are you bushfire ready? Operation Cool Burn the bushfire mitigation period between April and August each year is under way, and we need all landholders to... play their part. Consider whether your property may benefit from fire line construction, slashing, grazing or a hazard reduction burn. Rural Fire Service crews are already safely carrying out burns across the state, including this one at the Gold Coast. If you’re interested in conducting a hazard reduction burn on your property, remember to obtain a Permit to Light Fire first.

11.01.2022 FIRE PERMITS. This is very important. Please take notice of the requirements of your permit . (A) We are going to stipulate a Bare Earth Break with the dry cond...itions persisting . So before you ask for a permit make sure you have done everything in preparation before hand . (B) Apply for permission to burn . Remember you must advise your neighbours 72 hours in advance that you wish to burn, prior to applying for a permit . (C) PERMIT STIPULATIONS . PLEASE READ THE REQUIREMENTS OF YOUR PERMIT (1) READ THE TIME YOU CAN LIGHT . I RECOMMEND. No IGNITION BEFORE 15:00 3:00 pm . (2) ADVISE FIRST OFFICER . WHO ARE YOU ( Name) WHERE ARE YOU ( Address ) . WHAT ARE YOU DOING ( What are you burning , stack ,grass ETC .Also advise if you have equipment to assist , water ,availability of water , in case truck is called . (3) RING FIRECOM AT TIME OF IGNITION. (Not at @ 9:00 in the morning to tell them you are going to light later in the day .) A PERMIT IS FOR YOUR PROTECTION. IT COVERS YOU IN CASE THE FIRE ESCAPES . INSURANCE. AND IT IS FREE .
