13.01.2022 The Auxiliary Lift King... With constant activation of the entire poster chain in a strengthening and restorative fashion, the Reverse Hyper is a major go-to ...for athletes and lifters alike. Please note, the idea is to decompress the low back on the negative, do not allow it to swing through. Allowing momentum pull the lower back down and through the machine takes much of the effectiveness out and can at times if done ballistically, lead to injury. #westsidebarbell #conjugatemethod #louiesimmons #powerlifting #squat #bench #deadlift #strength See more

08.01.2022 REPOST @whiteboard_daily | COACHING CUE | . Arms are ropes - picked up from @burgenerstrength . When?... During the down and finish of both the clean and snatch What does this mean? The shrug at the top, after the hip extension (2nd pull), is the signal to press your body under the barbell as fast as possible! . The shrug pulls you under the barbell fast. . Arms are like ROPES, hanging long but relaxed, so the barbell does not bounce out with hip extension. . Arms do not bend until after the jump and shrug (shoulders lead arms follow)! p. 20 of the @CrossFitTraining Weightlifting Training Guide .

05.01.2022 On the left are two of the rotator cuff muscles: infraspinatus (top) and supraspinatus (bottom). On the right are gluteus maximus (top) and gluteus medius (bott...om). Notice the anatomical similarities? In both cases, their distal attachments are either close to or on the head of the humerus/femur. This gives them better control over the arthokinematics (rolling/rocking/gliding) of the joint, as opposed to just the osteokinematics (bigger motions: flexion/extension, internal/external rotation, abduction/adduction, etc). Effectively, the rotator cuff has to overcome the "gross" pull of larger muscles - pecs, lats, deltoid - with more distal attachments. Meanwhile, the glutes serve as the "rotator cuff of the lower body" to compete against the adductor magnus and hamstrings. #cspfamily #sportsmedicine
