24.01.2022 Just a quick review of a new custom built ukulele.

22.01.2022 Its been a while since my last Facebook post... way too long! After many months locked away in my workshop, I am pleased to give you a sneak peek at some of the ukuleles I will have on display at the 2020 Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival this coming weekend, Saturday 8th Feb. at the Carrington Hotel Katoomba. Hope to see you at the festival. Mark Wilkinson

21.01.2022 Just completed this Australian blackwood baritone ukulele with GCEA tuning. Bright and resonant with the warmth of a baritone sized instrument. (Apologies for dud notes... fault of player not instrument ha!)

19.01.2022 Photo courtesy of JohnnyD Photography. Check out his Facebook page for some great photos of the 1st Jamberoo Music Festival.

17.01.2022 Custom designed Wilkinson Concert Ukulele : Master grade Hawaiian Koa, ebony fretboard, bridge and binding, custom paua shell and mother of pearl inlay. Big thanks to Stephen for allowing me to create this beauty! Enjoy!!

16.01.2022 Before & after photos of a Stradivarius copy (circa 1800's) refurbishment I've just completed. Had heart palpitations when I first looked into the violin and saw the Antonio Stradivari markings . followed by a faint "Made In Germany" !! . just a copy. Nonetheless, its old, sounds great and the owner has a family heirloom instrument handed down from past generations to cherish and enjoy.

15.01.2022 An absolute pleasure making this guitar for a great bloke. Enjoy my friend.

07.01.2022 Well my first Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival has come and gone and I have to say what a fantastic thing its was to be a part of !! A big thank you goes to Steve ( and his cohort ) for allowing me to be a part of such a huge event and I look forward to being invited back again next year. And of course, many, many thanks goes to Ruth, Christine, Sue, and John ( and others... names withheld ) for their support and trust that they enjoy their new ukuleles. Also thank you to all who just came and played and talked about my instruments. The overwhelming level of positive feed back is very much appreciated !! Cheers to All

07.01.2022 A big thanks to Geoffrey in Sydney for allowing me to create this beautiful Hawaiian Koa & Ebony tenor ukulele for him.

06.01.2022 To know that the prior weeks (months actually) of shaping, carving and sanding pieces of wood, and the occasional expletive, into an instrument that is appreciated so much is certainly a great thrill to me and keeps me doing what I do. Thank you Bill, it was a pleasure.

05.01.2022 And with New Year and a New Workshop comes a New Ukulele... First uke out for 2019 and its a beauty. Many thanks to Jenni & Geoffrey Robertson for this commission ( and that makes two Wilkinson Ukes under that roof... ). Hawaiian Koa concert size with Tassie Blackwood bindings and Ebony fretboard and bridge. Enjoy guys !

05.01.2022 Happy New Year to all ! What better way to bring in the new year than with a New Workshop !!! Here are a couple of photos. I don't know how I fitted it all into my previous workshop which was half the size. Probably will need a bigger workshop next year.
