17.01.2022 The Coastal Taipan ! Have a go at this ! The Coastal Taipan is the largest Elapid (front fanged venomous snake) in Australia ! Growing up to 3 meters in length. The Coastal Taipan is the 3rd most toxic snake on earth with its smaller cousin the Inland Taipan being the worlds most venomous snake ! With fangs that measure over 1cm in length ! They arent a snake to be taken lightly ! ... Coastal Taipans are one of our favourite snakes to work with, And you can see them in our venomous snake displays and presentations !

14.01.2022 The Most Venomous Snake On Earth !!!! Meet Floyd ! Our beautiful Inland Taipan (Oxyuranus microlepidotus) also known as the Fierce snake or Small-Scaled snake, this bloke is the most venomous snake on the planet. Its venom so toxic that one drop could kill over 100 adult men. Pretty scary right ? Youd think these animals would have killed thousands of people. However, there are no recorded human fatalities attributed to this species. The Inland taipan lives in the middle o...f Australia, found in small populations from Birdsville in Weatern Queensland to Coober Pedy in SA. As a result of its remote habitat, this snake is rarely ever encountered. The large majority of bites from this snake have been from captive animals. Floyd here is apart of our venomous snake displays and presentations, hes definitely one of our favourites ! Were sure hell be one of yours as well. Send us a message to find out more about our venomous snake shows ! Learn much more about the Inland taipan, and plenty more of Australias highly venomous snakes !

12.01.2022 WARNING, GRAPHIC CONTENT!!! Crossing the highway is a dangerous game. This poor Broad-Shelled River Turtle (Chelodina expansa) unfortunately didnt complete her journey to find the perfect nest site. We found this poor girl in an emergency stopping lane, we presume she died sometime early this morning. Her shell had been broken, and an egg was visible. We made the decision to cut her open, and remove as many eggs as we could. We managed to remove over 20 eggs, howeve...r only 16 are viable, and will be incubated. Whats very interesting is the little orange balls, theyre actually undeveloped follicles, eggs that havent formed yet. This species is the largest Long-necked turtle species in Australia ! And are my personal favourite. Its incredibly sad that her life was cut short, but with some luck, her babies will be released back into the area and grow to be as big and strong as their mum. Its that time of year where turtles are searching for nesting spots, and will travel across major roads and highways to find the ideal location. Please be aware of these little guys.

11.01.2022 The King Brown Snake !!!!! The King ! These two snakes here are King Brown snakes (Pseudechis australis). However, did you know that these two arent actually members of the Brown snake family. King brown snakes are actually members of the Black snake family ! The King Brown is the heaviest bodied venomous snake in Australia ! Only loosing out to Coastal Taipans when it comes to length. They rank in as the 20th most venomous snake on earth, so their venom isnt overly toxic.... However, what they lack in toxicity they make up for with quantity. King Browns have one of the largest venom yields of any snake in Australia. Their venom is highly necrotic, which means the tissue around the bite site it going to rot, so definitely not a snake to take lightly. You can learn more about these incredible snakes and plenty of others, by booking our venomous snake demonstrations and displays ! Meet Australias most venomous snakes up close, from behind the safety of our custom snake pit ! Or look at them up close through our display enclosures ! Shoot us a message, call us, email us ! It doesnt matter just get in contact for more info !
