24.01.2022 Tosellis Serenade, with Bankstown City Choir, 2018

23.01.2022 Where ere you walk, Take 1, Sung directly into a microphone with no added effects. by William Amer 15.05.2020

22.01.2022 Take 3, The events of the past 6 weeks are moving aside for the now and the future. Some will have heard earlier home recordings of some of the challenges that are presented to a young septuagenarian, with a "lighter" tenor voice. In this series of recordings of Handels "Where ere you walk", frome Semele in Bb. Ive put aside the Iphone and the Video camera microphones and used a stand-alone microphone, Behringer C-1U. The playback on that is quite startling removing any "r...omance" out of the voice, if there ever was any! I put it on my Video editing program and re-added the accompaniment, played by number one son, Glenn Amer, and made a file of it. Secondly and lastly I applied effects to the voice file of "Bathroom" and "Auditorium", separately on two files. If Facebook works for me, all three files should appear for the listening. My preference is for the Bathroom effect, as it seems more natural and expected of me, by me. Hope you find these endeavours of interest. Finally, Ive found tapes of earlier works and will convert them to digital files as a matter of record and comparison. Facebook has made the Auditorium effect play first. Must remember to add text!!! 17.01.2022 From Mozart's "The Magic Flute" sung in German by William Amer on 28.05.2020, to a pre-recorded accompaniment.

16.01.2022 William Amer spends a lovely Sunday at the Rockley Village Gardens and Arts weekend listening to visiting choirs and contributing in his own classical way with "pop-up" concerts at St Patricks and St peters, Catholic and Anglican, alternating stating at 10am.

15.01.2022 Sung to pre-recorded accompaniment in my Music room at Rockley 2795 on 01.05.2020. A fammiliar melody to many, interestingly, the words are of a sad nature. 3 verses, all sung over Macushlas grave site, concluding with a soft Bb in natural voice, as is the requirement of the music. Published in Bb.

10.01.2022 This now ageing documentary provides an insight into the world of traditional Letterpress printing. It forms an introduction to the person, William Amer, and his abiding love of the art and craft of printing. It is the start of online courses and modules in the trade. William comes from a production background where efficiencies, accuracy and quality are hallmarks of his work. He will explore new trends in Letterpress printing and draw worthy comparisons and advantages of th...ese results. William is one of the very few tradespeople remaining who practises the craft and teaches it. His work is indepth and not purely academic, but useful and problem solving, as should be the work of an original tradesman. More information on his apprenticeship and practical work experience will follow in later modules.

09.01.2022 LETTERPRESS PRINTING. Hi, all. Requests have been made that I re-commence my lessons and classes in Letterpress Printing. Over the past 10 years in Rockley I have had many one on one personal students, from literally all over the world. Im finding that while there was great satisfaction by us all, more people are wanting to learn, which is far beyond the physical capacity of my studio. Im exploring lessons and tutorials using online facilities. I have yet to understand how ...to control attendances and the collection of class fees and subscriptions, but Im sure Ill discover that. I am proud to state that while there are still many people alive who have been involved in the trade and craft of letterpress printing, Im one of the very few in Australia who is set up with equipment and the practical knowledge to teach, having spent a working life-time in the industry. My teaching is practical, employing concepts of efficiency in work effort and production and a background in Commercial, colour and "job" printing, Carton and cardboard box manufacture, continuous stationery, packaging, Sales and Sales management, production management and planning and General Management. If the reader or someone the reader knows may be interested in a detailed study of the practical art and craft of letterpress printing please ask them to make contact personally, through my Home page messenger in the first instance. No links or attachments at this stage please. William Amer, Printer. See more

09.01.2022 Presenting a song or two at the Annual Abercrombie House Dancers Ball, 2019. Will be returning again in 2020. It was a dream of mine since I started dancing at 18 to be a featured artist and doing floor shows. Thanks Marlena Welch for the regular invitations.

07.01.2022 Yesterdays contribution, learnt for the occasion, from F. De Flotows opera, Marta, the aria, Mappari tuttamor, translated to Soft and pure, fraught with Love. Sung at Eskbank House, Lithgow, NSW in the Atrium, with very bright acoustics. A wonderful response by people keen on the not-so-oft heard vocal pieces. Other items to come.

06.01.2022 Sound only, taken in the wings, a performance of A Secret Garden, William acts the part of Uncle Archie, here he is singing beside the bed of his ward, relating a childs nursery tale.

06.01.2022 Tosellis Serenade, Carcoar 02.02.2020

06.01.2022 To those who are interested in the work, effort and struggles of a classical singer in pulling together an aria/air/song for eventual performance. My old Fbk friends of decades ago will understand the track ahead.

06.01.2022 When entertainment values takes precedence of over some inaccuracies. My floorshow/interruption at last Saturday nights Bathurst Dancers Ball, held in Abercrombie House. Most dancers would prefer to dance, but on this occasion I had to decline an encore as the night was getting late and there were still many tangoes, waltzes, and saunters to do!
