24.01.2022 It was in 1813 a drought had fallen upon the settlement, crops failed, stock and provisions were becoming smaller, the Europeans thought that if they just stay put things might just get a little bit uncomfortable. The possibility of having a nice goose on the menu for Christmas dinner was becoming unlikely if nothing was done, also the survival of the colony was paramount. New pasture land was needed. A minor setback, the seemingly, impenetrable Blue Mountains. Many an advent...urous European explorer, tried to find ways into the mountains, they were met with thick scrub and sheer cliffs. For some time, it was believed that china was on the other side of the Mountains and many a convict vanished in an attempt to escape the colony. It wasnt until a landowner observed indigenous hunting parties, entering and leaving the mountains, and it made him realised Ohhh. Thats the way over. Follow in the footsteps of the explorers, and the surveyors as well as the convict road builders in the feat that was the beginning of bringing Australia into nationhood. See more

23.01.2022 This is Orphan Rock, this used to be the most popular tourist attraction in the Blue Mountains, it was the main attraction for a long time. People had picnics on the summit, honeymoon photos, as well as marriage proposals. In 1973- 74 a landslide destroyed the stairs and track, making any access impossible.

11.01.2022 William D Kelly Tours is a new tour operator based in Newcastle Australia taking visitors to the central west of New South Wales starting from Sydney on a seven-day tour into the region. The tour guide is TAFE accredited with 12 years of experience as a tour guide. The basic concept of WDKT is to provide an opportunity for anyone to get away from life for a few days and recuperate before going back and able to face the stresses of daily life. It is ideal for people who are suffering from anxiety, depression or stress. We offer the chance to focus on something that will take their mind off whatever it is that is troubling them but giving them an enjoyable experience at a leisurely pace that will help calm the nerves, learn new things, see different places and make new friends.
09.01.2022 Going Out Bush sights like this dont happen all the time. But when they do it is unforgettable. Wombat heading home after a night time foraging.
09.01.2022 With the Covid19 epidemic regulations in place, has set back our opportunity to start our first tour. Many small tour operators, I have no doubt have been greatly affected. When things go hopefully back to normal, I urge people to support local small business. Not only the small tour operators but the other small business that have also been affected by the regulations that are now in place. The support you give no matter how big or small helps the business owners get back on their feet.
08.01.2022 The Berghofers Pass had been used as a road used cars when they were first used in Australia in 1909. As their engine were not powerful enough to climb Mount Victoria Pass. The cars had to be pulled up by horses. A new road was needed. It was a member of the the Blue Mountains Council in 1907, J.W Berghofer, who found the the plans of the old construction road used in the construction of the Victoria Pass viaduct. It did make it easier for the cars to climb into the mountains The only problem was the tight, and extremely sharp bends and turns. Since the cars are able to use the Mount Victoria pass. The Berghofer Pass is now an easy, and pleasant walk for the bushwalker, who likes to take their time and enjoy the view without the workout.
