07.01.2022 How long does it take to complete the Wound Management Resource Program....and when can I start? We often get asked this question so let's give you the answers: Our Wound Management Resource Program is a 120 hour program accredited by Wounds Australia and the Australian Primary Healthcare Nurses Association. Our students have taken as little as 3 months to complete the course (that's a cracking pace) but most of our students prefer to dabble in the online course over 12 month...s. 02.01.2022 Every four years, the IWGDF publish the international guidelines outlining the most up-to-date global recommendations and future priorities and they are recogni...sed as the gold standard guidelines. They are collectively written by 49 global diabetic foot experts and reviewed by another 50 global diabetic foot experts to make sure. And thats just the start. They are based on 10 extensive systematic reviews, formulated by six expert working groups, all overseen by one expert editorial board, and all adhering to the gold standard GRADE methodology for guideline development. And studies have objectively shown they are the best diabetic foot guidelines. At least a third of all recommendations - approximately 28 recommendations (from 87 evidence-based practice recommendations and 44 future research priorities across 8 chapters and 194 pages) are completely new compared to the last 2015 IWGDF guidelines. Simply, no other diabetic foot guideline on the planet comes close to the quality and breadth of the IWGDF guidelines. So, they should be very important to any Australian clinicians or researchers who are even remotely interested in the diabetic foot. Which is why we're bringing four of the international experts responsible for writing the guidelines to Brisbane in just over 3 weeks. Where they are not only updating on what current and what's coming, but also running our practical workshop sessions. So our question to you is...are you across the guidelines? Because if you're not - we have got you covered in two days at the best venue to open in Brisbane in the last decade. We are close to our maximum capacity and registrations close for good in 7 days. So get your skates (or approved footwear on) and join us for a fantastic two days focused on the diabetic foot! https://www.diabeticfootaustralia.org/conference-2019/ #letspreventamputations #dfaguidesyouthrough #endingavoidableamputations #DFA2019 Australian Podiatry Association Wounds Australia Advanced Practicing Podiatrists - High Risk Foot Group Podiatry Western Australia Pedorthic Association of Australia RACGP
