21.01.2022 Umm. What the total hell is going on in Victoria. This passed 39 to 21. So a lot of Liberal and Nationals crossed the floor to vote it in. Put simply, this means you can be locked up and detained indefinitely at the whim of a designated officer. There is no provision whatsoever for a review of the detention. Ultimately a person may have to apply to the Supreme Court to grant an order of Habeas Corpus for release. ... https://www.spectator.com.au//daniel-andrews-plan-for-ind/

20.01.2022 We must stop the Omnibus Bill. This video is being published at the same time by MANY pages and platforms. We are working together behind the scenes be assured... of that. If there is one thing you can do to help, it's stopping this bill by voicing your opinion to the Members of Parliament that will have the deciding vote. Enough is enough! #STOPTHEBUS Fiona Patten; Email - [email protected] Phone - (03) 9386 4400 Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/FionaPattenMP/ Twitter - https://twitter.com/FionaPattenMLC Andy Meddick; Email - [email protected] Phone - (03) 5222 1941 Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/AndyMeddickMP/ Twitter - https://twitter.com/AndyMeddickMP Adem Somyurek; Email - [email protected] Phone - (03) 9794 0699 Twitter - https://twitter.com/AdemSomyurek Samantha Ratnam; Email - [email protected] Phone - (03) 9348 2622 Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/SamanthaRatnamGreens Twitter - https://twitter.com/SamanthaRatnam

17.01.2022 Let's talk about the Scrutiny of Acts and Regulations committee. Here's an example of a submission you can use if you like. Send to [email protected] ... CC: [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] To whom it may concern, YOUR NAME and WHERE YOU'RE FROM. I'm very concerned about this bill, the powers it gives to the government are extraordinary and must be scrutinised to the highest degree. The pre-emptive detention of non-criminals is something we'd expect to see in dictatorships, not in Australia. Victorians have already lost many of their civil liberties, the virus numbers are clearly coming down and the government has already abused its power, enough is enough.

08.01.2022 GOVERNMENT INSIDER RESIGNS IN DISGUST OVER COVID-19 BLUNDERS In an excellent segment, Alan Jones has highlighted an article by a Victorian public servant Sanjee...v Sabhlok who resigned after being asked to remove criticisms he had published of Labor Premier Dan Andrews’ handling of the pandemic. Mr Sabholk has explained that because the Government ordered he remove all direct and indirect criticism he "resigned on the same day, the only honourable course for a free citizen of Australia" so he "would be free to speak out against the state’s management of the COVID-19 infection." And speak out he has. Much of what Mr Sabholk has said reflects issues and criticism I have raised over how Governments have handled the COVID-19 crisis. I have argued for a more targeted approach that ensured the Australians in at-risk categories, such as the elderly, were protected while allowing for other Australians to take sensible precaution while carrying on with life. I have also argued against the fear tactics we have seen used to scare Australians into accepting brutal restrictions which have destroyed lives and livelihoods. I have also called for more transparency and less hysteria over the reporting of COVID-19 cases and causes of death. It takes a lot of guts to speak up when you know it will come at the cost of your livelihood so I encourage everyone to listen to what Mr Sabholk has to say, it is important Australians hear both sides of the COVID-19 argument. 05.01.2022 SAFE SCHOOLS PROGRAM = CULTURAL MARXISM Our kids need to be taught how to think not what to think. Christine Keys is our PHON candidate for Mackay and is a form...er school principal/teacher for the past 40 years. She was recently given school material and was shocked and disgusted at what children are being taught. Cultural Marxism stated aim is to destroy the nuclear family causing the breakdown of a stable society. This program and material is designed to confuse and scare children. Schools need to get back to basics and leave parenting to parents. Safe Schools is now called 'Respectful Relationships' One Nation's 10 point education policy www.qldonenation.org.au/education

04.01.2022 WAKE UP - NO THIS IS NOT A DREAM The Victorian Labor government has introduced a bill to parliament that coupled with other measures is one of the most egregio...us attacks on civil liberties seen in war or peacetime. The Bill would allow people to be detained indefinitely and give sweeping powers to untrained people to become authorised officers with sweeping powers to arrest and detain fellow Victorians. Called the COVID-19 Omnibus (Emergency Measures) Amendment Bill, it overrides all other laws and legislation with the exception of the Charter of Human Rights (which the government ignores as it is not binding), the State Constitution Act 1975 and the laws created by the Bill itself. The Bill confers and extraordinary power to the Secretary of the Department of Health to appoint public servants as authorised officers with the same powers as police. However worse than that is a provision which allows the secretary to appoint any of the following as an authorised officer: [A] person the Secretary considers appropriate for appointment based on the person’s skills, attributes, experience or otherwise This will expand the persons who may be appointed as authorised officers. It is intended to include additional public sector employees from Victoria as well as such employees from other Australian jurisdictions, and individuals with a connection to particular communities to ensure that certain activities, such as contact tracing, can be conducted in a culturally safe manner. This sweeping power means the Secretary could appoint anyone as an authorised office; a member of the ADF who already patrols Melbourne streets with police or even a member of the Hell’s Angels. The Bill is mute on the specifics of who could be appointed. The Secretary has been given carte blanche to appoint anyone who has the skills, attributes, experience or otherwise. The word otherwise so broad and non-specific it gives rise to real concerns about who the Secretary could or would appoint. Critically there is no mention in the Bill of what sort of training these authorised officers would be given or the equipment they would be issued with. If you thought the hotel quarantine scheme was a fiasco image the damage and drama that could be wrought by this proposal. The Bill also provides that an authorised officer may be assisted by any person in exercising a public health risk power under an authorisation given by the Chief Health Officer. https://www.spectator.com.au//daniel-andrews-plan-for-ind/

04.01.2022 ONE NATION SUPPORTS THE LEGALISATION OF VAPING The Government’s introduction of further restrictions to access to nicotine for vaping doesn’t make sense healthw...ise and financially. No other country has a similar prescription model for nicotine for vaping. Approximately 500,000 Australians choose to vape as it is healthier than ordinary smoking and seen as a step to weaning themselves off smoking altogether. Research has shown that increased regulation and inconvenience to accessing nicotine for vaping may push ex-smokers back to cigarettes and vapers toward the nicotine black market. Requiring a doctor’s prescription to access nicotine for vaping increases costs for the consumer and also places a further burden on the health system through Medicare and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. For example, if vapers attend four GP visits annually to acquire prescriptions, the taxpayer will be funding two million visits. Also, as prescription medicines are GST free, the Government will lose further revenue with this model. The decision to tighten regulation also is questionable in that similar prescriptions are not required for nicotine patches, nasal sprays and nicotine gum. It is also clear that those Australians who least can afford it will bear the additional costs of the latest restrictions. One Nation has long supported the legalisation of vaping as an option to reduce harmful smoking. #PaulineHanson #OneNation #Vaping #LegaliseVaping #LeonByner #FiveAA

04.01.2022 The Victorian governor has the power to not only dismiss and appoint, but also to refuse assent or ammend bills, a power which she should wield if the Andrews government’s Omnibus bill reaches government house, according to professor David Flint. More: https://bit.ly/3kTNgc1
