22.01.2022 Another day of working on the computer all day? Here is Tip #2 out of 3 to help reduce the risk of shoulder/neck ache with just simple postural adjustments The use of a stand (from one that you bought to a box that can hold your computer/laptop higher) for your laptop or computer can help keep your posture in a better position and reduce the amount of strain on your neck. ... 19.01.2022 Another day of working on the computer all day? Here is Tip #3 out of 3 to help reduce the risk of shoulder/neck and also low back ache with just simple postural adjustments Ideally, the use of an adjustable chair would help with postural changes while sitting, however if you have a simple chair like this one, you are still able to help your posture through simple adjustments. ... 1. By having your back straight and bottom all the way back on the back rest it will allow you to stay straight up, reducing the amount of strain on the low back. 2. Also having your feet planted firmly on the ground will also help reduce the chances of rounding your back. 3. Not sitting for longer than 1 hour at a time and getting up to walk around or move would be perfect. With these quick and easy postural adjustments, you will hopefully be able to work with less ache in those shoulders, neck and back. Hope you found this useful! #williamstownphysio #williamstownphysiotherapy #socialdistancing #workfromhome #alonetogether

16.01.2022 With gyms set to open in a week, just remember to gradually increase the load and not going straight back to your normal lifts. It is going to take time to build your strength back up, and that’s okay. Just be consistent and you will be back there before you know it. If you need advice on how to start back up at the gym or have already jumped into the normal lifts too fast, the Williamstown Physiotherapy team can help you. #physiotherapy #williamstownphysiotherapy #williamstown #physio #wemadeit #staysafe #working #progressiveoverload
