25.01.2022 A bit of sensory art this morning! Super easy and no mess! Just some contact paper stuck to the table sticky side up which the kids stuck different coloured wool to, to make swirly colourful art. Will loved pulling his wool off the sticky paper just as much as he loved putting it on. When we were all done we put some more contact over the top of the wool and stuck them up in the window. With the sun shining through them they look even better! Hope you are all having a wonderful morning!

24.01.2022 With all the craziness that is happening in the world at the moment it is nice to have some normality so playgroup will be on as usual tomorrow. Just to help with minimising the risk of spreading any nasty germs we have decided to stop our shared fruit so just bring a long some morning tea for your child/ren. Some other safety practices that the Health Department says will help us to stay healthy include:... Stay home if you are sick, have a fever or cough, or if you have been exposed to someone who has the coronavirus or travelled to a high risk country Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue/inner elbow Frequently washing your hands for at least 20 seconds See more

21.01.2022 This morning we have got the diggers out with some playdough, rocks and paddle pop sticks for some construction themed playdough fun - great for working and strengthening those little hand muscles, using our imagination and being creative! Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful morning!

18.01.2022 One of the wonderful things about playgroup is connecting the community to each other. It is now more important than ever that we stay connected and imaginative during this challenging time. So please keep in touch and let us know what you are all up to. Feel free to post ideas and experiences with our wonderful group or just say Hi and tell us how you are all doing in this tough time! We look forward to hearing from you!

16.01.2022 While juggling home schooling with looking after little ones we finally got a chance to do some painting with an Easter theme! I cut out Easter egg shaped cardboard and covered them with alfoil to make shiny silver eggs which we then used q-tips to decorate (q-tips are great for strengthening little hands and developing fine motor skills). Of course Will decided after awhile using his hands was more fun! (How are those with older ones going with this home schooling and little ones? It certainly is a juggling act)!

14.01.2022 Some fun this morning with trucks and pasta! Super quick and easy to set up. It has kept Will busy for ages with lots of pouring, filling, tipping and "brmmm brmmmm"!

11.01.2022 A PLAY SCHOOL COVID-19 SPECIAL To help explain what's happening at the moment, we present this special episode that will launch on Facebook. Watch Play School: Hello Friends! with your little ones here at 4pm Thursday AEDST.

08.01.2022 We have been using our senses, exploring our world, being creative and practicing our fine motor skills this morning with flowers that we found around the garden. We cut them and arranged them to create flower pictures. Lots of fun and super easy to set up! Hope you are all having a wonderful day! Let us know what you are up to

08.01.2022 Great morning for playdough! We have been enjoying some Anzac themed playdough with rosemary and using red and black lids and pom poms for poppies (my original plan was having red playdough but was all out of cream of tar tar so had to use our already made green playdough. Oh well, the kids don't mind)!

06.01.2022 https://www.theempowerededucatoronline.com//family-salt-d/ This is what I used for our Salt dough Easter eggs

04.01.2022 http://www.acraftyliving.com/naturally-coloured-scented-pl/ If you are looking at making some playdough this is my all time Favourite recipe! It has some great ideas for extending the sensory experience but you can leave the dough plain or just use some food colouring to colour it.

02.01.2022 Just some of the Easter fun we have been having. Creating bunnys and decorating Easter eggs using treasures we found in nature and making salt dough Easter eggs. (These were super easy and cooked in the microwave so super quick too)! What Easter fun have you been up to???

01.01.2022 Wishing all of you a wonderful Easter with your beautiful families! It is a bit of a strange one this year but at least Chocolate and the Easter bunny were classified as "essential"!

01.01.2022 With us all needing to do our bit in fighting this awful Coronavirus and having to socially isolate ourselves, Playgroup will be stopping until further notice. Look after yourselves and hope to see you all soon!
