25.01.2022 Congratulations to WTC Section 3 Mid Week Ladies who won their grand final today vs Werribee! Great stuff ladies

25.01.2022 From tomorrow morning Williamstown Tennis Club is OPEN again for member use. Members can jump into Book-a-Court and get back on court for a hit. Woo Hoo The committee and club coach Vanessa Saragozza Campanaro have spent this week making sure we comply with Tennis Victoria's COVID Safe Plan and have received council approval to re-open, there are restrictions: 1. Only 10 people can be at the facility at one time. Given this, the only way we to manage this is to just have... 2 courts available at any one time (outside of coaching). Hopefully, this will change as restrictions ease. 2. Pictured below is a sign on the front gate, everyone who enters must scan the QR code and register their attendance at the facility. 3. The club rooms remain closed. 4. Coaching staff do not contribute to the 10 people they are in addition to 10. 5. Please follow the community tennis guidelines below. We will provide more details in an email to members tomorrow but that's the snap shot.

17.01.2022 An email has just been sent to all members confirming under what conditions members can play tennis at Williamstown Tennis Club under the current stage 3 restrictions. Here is a link to that email and if you have any questions please send us a DM. https://mailchi.mp//club-conditions-during-covid-stage-3-r

17.01.2022 Today Tennis Victoria and governing bodies have recommended that all coaching, clubs and venues close their doors temporarily during these uncertain times. As the health and well being of our clients is our first priority we have decided to cease coaching and playing at Williamstown Tennis Club until further notice. Hopefully it won’t be long so we can all enjoy our passion for tennis again. We look forward in seeing you all on court again soon!... Take care and stay safe See more

16.01.2022 We are pleased to report that our courts are now open to members! We have completed a mandatory checklist, provided this to the council and are using the Tennis Victoria toolkit to ensure we have a Covid-safe environment for all. Important details to note: - The courts will only be open to members for play. Non-members are not able to play at this stage. This will be reviewed as restrictions ease.... - Members MUST use the book a court system to make their court booking. Please ensure the names of the other members/players joining you are listed when making the booking. There is a field for this when making your booking. You must be logged into your account when making the booking in order to do this. - We request that members who play at the club have downloaded the COVID safe app - It goes without saying that social distancing is a MUST - We would prefer that members not use the club room or toilets, unless of course it’s an emergency. As the COVID situation is continually evolving we will update you on Facebook and our website. Happy Hitting

11.01.2022 UPDATE TO OUR MEMBERS AND COMMUNITY Williamstown Tennis Club has had communications from the organising bodies of Saturday/Sunday Junior Competition, Saturday Mixed Competition, Tuesday Ladies Competition and both Men's and Women's Night Competitions. These communications state that all competitions have been suspended until further notice. Tennis coaching and informal tennis play will continue however we ask members to take precautionary steps when attending WTC.... The steps are recommended by health professionals in order to limit the spread of COVID-19. They are: # For all visitors and players to wash their hands in the clubhouse or use hand sanitiser before coming onto the court and when leaving the premises. We recommend that you bring your own hand sanitiser if possible however soap is available in the clubhouse. # Apart from hand washing and using the toilet facilities, we ask that you limit all use of the kitchen and the clubrooms in general. # We ask that any person who may have flu like symptoms not to come to the tennis club and to seek medical advice. As per Tennis Australia's recommendations the clubrooms are cleaned on a weekly basis. We recommend that members and friends coming to the tennis club read the signage regarding good hygiene and also read the attached advice given by Tennis Australia in regard to hygiene and washing of hands. As the situation around Coronavirus is very dynamic and changing daily, we will continue to monitor, review and update accordingly. Regards, Committee of WTC

10.01.2022 Check out our very own head coach Vanessa Saragozza Campanaro as she discusses her coaching journey

08.01.2022 Hopefully not too much longer As a club we are just waiting to receive the official recommendation from Tennis Victoria before making plans to reopen the Williamstown Tennis Club. Hold tight everyone as we work out this week the best way to restart in a COVID safe environment. ... We will update everyone as soon as possible so we can get back to playing the sport we love.

07.01.2022 Reminder - next Thursday is our Christmas party we hope to see all members along. See event page here....

07.01.2022 Today the State Government announced that tennis can recommence as of midnight tonight Sunday 18 October. As much as we can’t wait to get you all back on court we are waiting to hear from the Sporting Governing bodies to advise us at what capacity we can return for coaching and usage of courts by members. Once we are advised of this and all COVID safe plans are in place, along with council approval we will be able to start. We will be in touch and keep you all informed this coming week. - WTC Committee

05.01.2022 Hello All - the latest from Tennis Victoria in regards to the wearing of face masks. Members playing at the club must carry one and wear a mask when entering and leaving the facility but when playing tennis in court it’s not required given the physical exertion. At least we can still play tennis!

03.01.2022 On behalf of the Williamstown Tennis Club we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and safe and happy New Year in 2020. Thank you to all club members, players, parents and coach Vanessa Saragozza for their continued support of this great club. Bring on the summer of tennis

02.01.2022 Club Update: Stage 4 Restrictions To our WTC community please note that the courts are now officially closed in line with the Victorian Government and Tennis Victoria guidelines until further notice. Stay safe and we will see you all again soon
